My bathroom floor is one of the most often cleaned spots in my home. And, not just because so many unhealthy germs can live on a bathroom floor. Since our floors are white stone tile they tend to show everything including cat hair, human hair, dirt, dust and other things.
But, for some reason, no matter how many times I clean that space, my bathroom floor always looks as if it hasn't been cleaned. There are always footprints everywhere, from where my toddler has spilled water on the floor and then tracked dirty footprints through it. Where does all that mess come from? This is one of my constant gripes! In order to keep it looking clean, I have to reclean my bathroom floor three or four times daily. Fortunately for me, it's a very small area, so it's not that hard to do.

Hi beautyqueen26! Wow, you cleaned your bathroom three to four times, you are amazing! I cleaned our bathroom twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I just gotten into the habit of just cleaning it twice I guess. But if I am lazy, I just do it once. Haha...Take care and have a nice day!

Twice is still a lot of work. Give yourself credit! Even once is lots of work, not lazy at all. I'm a clean freak about the bathroom floor. It has to be clean at all times. No spots.

Wow that is a lot of cleaning in one day LOL I ave two bathrooms so imaging cleaning those several times a day, no thank you LOL
I clean them once a week, mind you I have bathmats on our floors so those get a clean twice a week or replaced every second day depending on how grubby and soaked they get.

Wow! Two friends, I always like seeing. Hi Maddysmommy and Katesmama. How are things going?
Well about the cleaning. I'm feeling very compulsive lately. Lots of stress about the vehicle, so it's got to be channeled into cleaning. I clean when I get nervous or emotional. Did I spell that right?
Ordinarily, I let my Gmail do my spell check for me. Not this time. Be well. Thanks for popping by.

Whatever makes you happy, friend! However, just a tip that works for me, if you have a minute. Fill a spray bottle with water and one tablespoon of Clorox or bleach and spray the floor every night before you go to bed. That will cut down on the germs that you track out into the rest of the house and onto your bed. Lots of people don't know that they are tracking those germs from the bathroom onto their sheets. That's unsanitary. Will also cut down on sickness too. Just a light spray is all you need. But, be careful, it will be slippery until it dries. That way, even if you don't clean often, it will still be reasonably sanitary for you and your room mates. Best of luck with your studies.

I know what you're talking about. When all my family was together, and my sister and I were growing up, the bathroom floor was always being walked on, so tracks of dirt would show easily.
These days I live by myself, albeit with two dogs. I usually have to clean it every other week. The floor is laminate, and every easy to clean.

I have to do it almost every hour. Because our house is also an internet cafe and the comfort room is open to public. WE are living upstairs and the comfort room is downstairs. So I have to clean it almost every hour to ensure that its clean for the use of my kids and my partner. Good thing that I have all the disinfectant that I need.

Usually I do it once or so a week. But I really don't do it avidly because I have a good number of rugs on the floor. Now those, I clean about every week.

See now that's just smart thinking! I should get some rugs, cause we have nothing but white stone tile floor throughout the entire house. And, every speck of dirt shows. And though you might think that would be a dream to live with white stone tile floors, it's a living nightmare for the person who has to clean it. Hello! You're looking at her! I'm the floor cleaner, general sanitizer for the entire house, all floors included. If I don't do it, then it doesn't get done.
I have nothing to complain about though. I could have it worse. We could have dirt floors and you can't clean those. It's nice when you can feel lucky over the little things, right? LOL!

My bathroom floors are the very light brown stone tiles that also tend to show everything like what you had mentioned. So I do face the same problem as it hasn’t been nicely cleaned. Yeah, the most disgusting are the footprints and the human hairs. No matter how many times I had cleaned the mess still occur there again. Once I go in the bathroom I often clean the floor by rinsing it with water or brushing it.

My bathroom floor gets swept nightly- as well as the kitchen floor. I also vacuum the living room floor nightly- We have an indoor cat and I cannot stand having cat hair on the floor- I mop the bathroom floor at least 3 times a week- thankfully it’s small as well. The upstairs bathroom is a rug- and that is vacuumed at least twice a week- It isn’t used as often- and that is the bigger bathroom!
I can’t stand a messy house- and the floors are on my daughters chore chart and mine too-

I clean my upstairs bathroom floor once or twice every day. The downstairs bathroom, maybe every other day. We just don't use the bathroom downstairs very often. The main mess that we get on the floor in there is from the dogs going in there and sloshing water out of their water bowl.
Probably when my son gets potty trained, I will be cleaning the bathroom floor more often. Right now, he uses his small potty in the hall outside of the bathroom. He won't go into the bathroom by himself, because he is afraid when he flushes the potty. Because of that, we leave the doors closed to both bathrooms most of the time, so the pets don't leave hair everywhere. The dogs do get closed into the downstairs bathroom (It's huge and has plenty of room for them to lay down) when we are going somewhere, but otherwise they tend to steer clear.

We keep our cats in the front bathroom when it's not being used for baths and such. They don't like it though. But, sometimes we just have to get them out from under foot, like when stuff is being moved out the front door and such. I put them in there, cause I'm always afraid they'll run out the front door! They always make big messes with their hair.

I know exactly what you mean :)
It feels like I spend most of my time cleaning the darn bathroom and my kids are not even toddlers anymore LOL
You are right about the light colored floor, in my case it just shows my dog's fur better grrrrrr He's shedding and I just have the feeling that it would be a much better idea to go after him with the vacuum cleaner hehe
LIke you I am like that the bathroom is not too big soit doesn't take forever to clean at least the floor.

almost everyday. my nephews and nieces live with us and they're just kids, lazy kids, who always leave prints in the bathroom floor. this is one reason why i get so pissed at them all the time. they cant seem to respect the effort i put in cleaning the bathroom.

It really depends. Sometimes I do it twice a week while others I skip a week. It doesn't get that dirty and I usually forget about. I guess part of me doesn't go nuts about it because our floors also white and is dull looking to begin with since this is an old house.

I do agreee, to keep it clean... Ours is aslo a small area, but it is of brick colour tile, so you cannot easily chase the footprints, but i wish it to cleaned everyday, I do not find time though, I have my old mother and two kids, so... But fortunately, I found one servant maid, recently, with whom, I am making a deal to do this chore, everyday,...
May be I suggest you, that since your bathroom is of a small area, you can change the tile, it will not cost you morethat,..few hundred,.. from a lighter colour to a darker one....

I usually only have to clean my bathroom once a day. the biggest problem I have with my bathroom having two teenage daughters is that there are allways clothes on the floor, I am constantly picking up clothes and putting them in the hamper. if that counts it brings it up to at least 5 times a day. lol.
