Would you choose to be able to read other's minds?

Okay one more topic before bed! If you could have the option to read people's minds would you? If so, why would you want this power - how would you use it? If not, why not?
I'm not sure I want to hear other's thoughts about me. But it could potentially be used to save lives and help others.

There are times I think I would pay money to know what my children are thinking! What goes on in those little heads of theirs?!?! LOL Overall, I don't think I would want to know what others are thinking about me. I think it would change my personality. . .trying to be what they thought I was or wasn't. I guess there would be instances when it would be helpful and interesting. I definitely wouldn't want people to be able to read my mind, though.

sometimes i wish i could read others' minds because it may make my life go as i wish. but on second thought, i think i'd better not. there are always some evil thoughts in our minds and the only difference between a good man and a bad guy is that a good man can always control the bad thoughts before they come out of his mind. if i could read others' mind, perhaps i couldn't find any good man in the world. life is mysterious and attractive but if i can read others' mind, there isn't any secrets to me. then life will become meaningless.

No, I would not like to read others' mind. Because you know - 'all the glitters is not gold". Whatever we see from outside..that may not be the case from inside of a person. People are very good actors, they would conceal their real emotions towards you, and would never let you know what do they think about you. If I am able to read others' mind and if I find that they are thinking in negative terms about me...I would feel very bad...so let the postion remain as it is.
Nonetheless an Excellent Post!
