Yes, I would love to know more about Indian cooking. We LOVE Indian food and the one time I tried to make my boyfriend's favorite dish, Gobi Masala, it turned out horribly. I would also like to know how to make some of the basic breads. I can easily get the ingredients at a local specialty store but feel free to share recipes. Thank you.

Okay, any recipe would be a great help, especially Gobi Masala. I am not much of a tea drinker.

How many different spices do you put in an ordinary dish, say at dinner time? While in India I bought a small box with some kind of spice that looks like little threads and it's maroon in color (about 50 Rs), the little clear plastic box measures about (5 x 5 x 1)cm. The problem is I don't know how to use it. Any ideas?

it seems what you say is saffron comes in small plastic box. You can use it when you make briyani as a spice or you can just sprinkle it in milk to drink. If you accept the name of the spice is correct, then one can drink it with milk (adding just a pinch) will get good complexion and if they are pregnant, they will get good handsome fair baby.... how you understand now, if not give me more description...
