Paypal is just regular money. You can transfer directly from a credit card to it in dollars or dinars or yen or whatever. Egold is allegedly gold based. You are allegedly trading ounces of gold. Therefore, your balance fluctuates based on the price of gold. You cannot just put dollars in your account, you have to use a gold exchanger. You pay the exchange dollars, they deposit gold in your account, for a fee. Then when you want to withdraw, you have to exchange back, again for a fee. One exchange does let you use Egold to buy real gold bullion coins. In general, the exchanging is a pain in the butt. However, some online earning sites only take egold. This is either because the site is against Paypal's TOS or they have had problems with paypal in the past. So it depends on what you need it for which is best.

At least you agree that some of them have had problems with paypal. I agree with you that e-gold can only be operated through exchange rates, but you forgot to tell that with Gold prices rising, your balances rises too. This raise can take care of exchange fees. And they dont charge you a fee all the time, for funding your account you are charged nothing, for charging your account can imply exchange rates. It is a pain in the butt one time only. What is a little pain in the butt compared to the peace of mind for all the time to come? With e-gold you can rest assured that you are not gonna get ripped from your back.

Yes, but if the price rises, it costs you more to fund your account. And, actually, with the price rising, you get less money. If you bought an ounce of gold at $300 an ounce, and the price is now $400, you actually have less than an ounce in your account now, since what you have in your account is only the gold equivalent of $300. Paypal is not perfect, but neither is egold. They get hacked A LOT. Plus, there is some question about whether they adhere to banking laws. In the last 2 years, Intgold and EMOCash got shut down for these reasons. At least with Paypal, it is real money. And the only fees charged are for a business account, not a personal account with Paypal. It is clear that you don't like Paypal. But, that does not mean other people should not like it too. Both Paypal and Egold have their advantages and disadvantages.

Paypal is way better. Less complicated. Just regular money that you transfer from your credit card. I've never used e-gold, which is the trading of gold. It sounds too complicated.

Hi. I don't know which is better. I have a PayPal account and just the other day I went to a web site called wwwpaypalsucks.com and was really nervous about what I read. I myself have had no problems with PayPal, but who am I? Just oh illiterate one! I can hardly understand how to read the charts where they show your transactions! Egold, I know nothing about, sorry. Check out this site and tell me what you think of it: www.randpolys.com/p.php?id=1237 Good Luck

and why do they ditch paypal for their further transactions. The word is out, my dear, maybe you have not had a problem with them, which is good for you, and I know you can't scam everyone. Do you think you need to be scammed in order to believe, God Forbid Me.

Any payment with E-gold (http://simurl.com/eg ) is final, so EG is irreversible! From this aspect, EG is better. Too many fraudulents with Paypal, but too many scams with Egold!

Thanks for responding. That's why I like paypal. It's safer and easier to transfer to my account and such. Egold seems to be a pain to exchange and then it fluctuates, you may end up losing more money than you expected.
