What happened to my star rating? Overnight, it went from an eight down to a three. I'm really confused as to what happened. Did I do something wrong? I didn't do anything out of the ordinary yesterday.
I'm really starting to envy those people who have nine or ten stars. The highest I've gotten was eight, and now I'm back to three once again. It's really starting to annoy me actually.
I guess nothing can be done however. In brighter news, I have five dollars on my myLot account now. Which is better than any amount of money that I've had in the past. So I guess I Must be doing semi-decently.

dont evenworry about the star number. mine started out as a 3 and the last time I looked it was a 5, I'm not even sure what it is now. I dont worry about it much. it really hasent affected the quality or quantity of responses I get to my discussions or the ammount I have earned. keep doing what your doing and Im sure it will go back up.

I don't worry too much. It's just I'm wondering how it dropped so sharply and so quickly. I don't worry too much about it, but still...I'm wondering why it happened. Could it maybe a glitch on myLot's part, or does someone just have a vendetta against me? That could always be possible, although I'm not a rude or mean person in any way.
Thank you for your reply. I attempt to keep posting discussions and talking to others, but I find it hard earn star levels, so I'm slightly disappointed when I see my levels drop so quickly.

Sorry that happened to you. Some people just seem to get their jollies -ing people.
When I made 100, my star was a 3. I guess I ticked some people off.
I wouldn't worry about it. Your star will go up and down. It seems to mainly a popularity thing.

I don't pay any attention to the star rating since it doesn't affct my earning. I don't pay any attentionn to the star rating og others ether. I think it's most a way fo telling how popular one is. The more +s you get the higher the star rating. I don't know why peopl have to give - ratings unless the person is nasty or just being clear off topic. That's the only time I give a negitive rating

OH SCHNAPP! That is a hard fall, it has to be glitch. I suggest you PM mylot and ask them to look into it. I don't think anyone can fall that far in one night and there not be something more to it.
That is awful, but keep your head up and just prove that star wrong.

ignore the star rating. it fluctuates even when nobody rates you. i was missing from mylot for about a week and when i came back the star rating is different. if it DOES affects your earnings, then please do worry. :)

i don't really pay much attention to my star rating... it doesn't tell me anything anyway... for me, as long as i am doing the right thing here and i am enjoying myself plus i get paid, i don't really care about what is my star rating... i hope you won't get too upset about it... i believe it will went up again... take care...

The stars effects, I also worry about that when it was first introduced here. But I make sure that I am careful on the posts I start and respond at, especially those so-called "discussion traps."
What happened to you is really wierd, I suggest you seek admins response about this. I don't think that your ratings would just drop just because someone rates you negatively, as I believe that most of the posts you responded to and made have been rated by your friends positively.

Star points are based on the ratings that myloters gave you. If they give you positive ratings a lot, then your star points goes up, the opposite is true if they give a negative rating. I myself do give negative rating to comments or posts that deserves a negative rating.
Another is the assessment of mylot moderators as to the quality of your posts and the quality of your responses. Just patient and continue posting quality comments and discussions, and you'll see that your 8 points star will be back in no time; if not the 10 that you long to have ever since.
