I do not remember so much rain in one summer. Don't get me wrong, I love the rain. The idea of the raining cleaning out the old making room for new wonderful things always makes me smile, but give me a break already!!!!! How many times do I have to sit at this desk with my clothes soaked?? when it is a rainy day like this, I like to be on my couch, a nice hot cup of coffee, with my romote and something really good on TV. What do you like to do on rainy days, besides being out in it?!?!

I know what you mean about the rain. But, we are in a drought. So, I guess I would not mind it much right now. Can someone's heartache be another man's pleasure? For some reason, I am deep today. Maybe, I should take a nap. God knows, I am sleepy.

This is weird....I was curious to check out where you are...you're not far from me..I'm here in Queens and our borough has hardly gotten any rain this summer!! It rained today, but I would say out of the whole summer it has only rained four days total....No kidding...In fact, it's almost like a drought here.
I actually did have a lot I wanted to do today. I did go to visit a friend who wanted me to teach her something on her computer--she is a bit computer illiterate...LOL ...she's only down the block...I was there a few hours and wanted to do some grocery shopping afterwards, but it was so cold and rainy I chucked the whole idea out, and came straight home instead...and nestled up in front of my computer for more hours than I usually do. And in the process learned a few new tricks on my computer with my Photoshop that I never even did before...so it was a good experience for me as well

You are in New York, well you are not far from Ohio, Ut rained for about 3 days. I was afraid it would drown my plants, I wanted to move some of them, but I think they will be Ok. I don't half to worry about watering them for a while now. Sonday it rained all day, I didn't even go to church.

Sometimes I just go outside and enjoy the rain. I take walks in it (with an umbrella of course). Other times I'm content to sit on the covered deck or out on the front landing and watch the rain. Try drinking tea or your favorite beverage while watching the rain on the outside, for me its relaxing. Yes, of course, this also depends on how hard it is raining, if its torrential I'm not walking, I'll still watch it though.

You should send some our way momma as we are desperately in need. I love the rain as it reminds me of growing up in Scotland where it rained A LOT. It's funny here in Georgia cause the first drops of rain send people scampering for the indoors or their vehichle and there am I just walking casually through it...I love that feeling and the smell of the first few drops

UGH! I'm here in PA and we've had rain for 3 straight days. I'm sick of it! MY kids are dribnving each other crazy beacsue they can't go swimming or play outside. At least the grass is getting greener. But I could never live in a palce where it rains a lot-- like Seattle!

I totally hear you, momma! We are on day 5 or 6 straight of thundershowers. DH and I slept with the TV on, just in case of a tornado was coming last evening... the winds were that strong. Flash floods everywhere, and I just need to get out to the garden and pick tomatoes. Guess that ain't gonna happen for a while.

I don't mind with the rain too. But the kids kind of trap inside and they start getting on my nerve, LOL...and i saw on TV it suppose to be rain until tomorrow. Right now, i open ther tent in the living room, so it occupied them for little while. They even ask if they can have "picnic" for lunch in the living room ( put our big old blanket so it won't make the carpet dirty with food )...oh well..i might just grant the wish.

When it rains, I love to be outside, gardening, walking, driving, or at least by an open window, smelling it, feeling it, tasting it. I love to sit by the bay or the ocean in my car and watch the rain fall into the water and listen to it drumming on the roof and splashing across the windows. I feel so refreshed and free. I love the way when it is raining and people run into a building they stop in the foyer to shake off and they always make some comment about the weather to each other. At that moment I feel like the rain brings people together and helps them communicate with each other. When my children were young and it rained, we would go outside and march around the block with the neighborhood kids banging pots and pans and singing. It was my way of teaching them not to hide from a storm. I think the rain presents wonderful opportunity for us to use our imagination.

I used to live in New York. One of the reasons I moved was the weather. It was almost a rare thing to see the sun in upsate NY. I wanted to play hooky whenever it came out. I love everything about NY but that. The cold, damp, rainy, snowy, slushy, icy, cloudy weather was depressing. So now I live in Mexico. When we get a little rain here its a pleasure. I should not speak to soon. Even as I write this we are being inundated by Tropical Storm Lowell. It is supposed to rain unitl Sunday. I have leaks allover my house, water is ccoming under the doors, and a friends car just floated down the street.

Here in the UK we are experiencing the wettest summer for many years, and flooding on a massive scale repeatedly inundating whole communities. So much for the summer :-( My partner and I are suffering cabin fever now as we find the weather has wrecked our plans for holidays and weekend breaks. We are now just slumping indoors in front of the tv or reading.
