When creating, and looking at art, what medium do you prefer? Paper, Graphic Design, Photography, Sculpture, Paint, Drawing, Textiles, Music, Written Word? Do you have a favourite medium to work with, and why is it your favourite? For me, I love photography, drawing, music and the written word, I just love to capture a moment in a sound, picture, sketch or poem. How about you?

I wish I could say - all of the above. But I draw images with words....and I love the written word. I want to mix up mediums, shake it up by combining painting, drawing and photography with words. Some of my words I've combined with mirrors - within a context, one is a whole mirror one is in pieces....and I adore music and singing...wow this is hard!

Oops my response came out twice! I wanted to add that my best and favourite creation was a joint effort - Robert! I always ask, how did you get to be so cute? Then I answer for him, "Your mommy and daddy took took ingredients that make up both of us, mixed it all together, put it in mommy's oven and baked it until it rose and grew then out you popped nine months later!" Of course that's cooking - or baking - which I notice you didn't add, along with artistry of verbal expression, the art of making love, or kissing, of turning a phrase, the lost art of truly listening................. sleep I need sleep yator

Wow, the list of things I missed out is shameful - bring on the firing squad! =P Ha, that's so cute that you do that with/for Robert, and he certainly is a wonderful artistic creation through physical expression and then some =D

I used to love drawing but I don't have time to practice very much now. These days, I start to discover my interest for photography (especially black and white photos). Now, I just try to practice more and more with my digital camera, and I am still struggling if I should go to take a short course for it. Let's see how it goes!

I love black and white, and sepia photos. I don't get out anywhere pretty much these days, but I always have my camera handy to capture the memories. You should do a course, I bet it would be fun =D

My favorite medium is wood as in wood carving. Next would be writing with poetry first and then short stories. I used to write and play music, but I stopped that when my brother became too ill to participate because it was a joint thing. I do black and white photography. And then any kind of needlework or sewing when I get tired of the other stuff.

I love doing all kinds of artistic things. I make soap, and bath products. I love working with beads and jewelry. I love writing, and I partake in a few other artsy crafty types of things. Some can look at what I do and call it a craft and say it isn't worth calling it art, but I put my heart and soul into each thing that I do and I think that no matter what, that is what makes it art.

I always use Acrylic, but love to incorporate other stuff like sand into my art also and textures. :)

I prefer the camera: it is fast, quick and accurate. Then, I can review the picture and write about it. I used to do the opposite and found photography quicker! Cannot draw worth a lick but love to write! sunnywaters

My favorite is mixed media I get excited about working texture color depth and word all in to piece. I also love photography and it too can be incorperated. I love the work of Susan Ward Harrison. She is terrific at mixed media

Paper, pencils and colored pencils. I also like a lot of the other things you mentioned Malyck, I've had plenty of success in all of those. I'm serious, I've done photography, sculptures, painting, drawing, textiles/textures, and the written word. Writing would be another art I'd give some credit to. Its very opening and its a hobby (er hobbies) I won't be giving up.
