Do You Like to Get Massaged?

Have you tried foot massage? Thai massage? Or just regular massage? Do you like it? Do you feel much more relaxed and feel lighter after you have got one? I don't enjoy being massaged that much because when people touch me, I would laugh for no reason. I tried some Thai massage once and I had to try hard not to laugh. But I do feel a lot lighter afterwards. What about you?

I liked to get massaged, but the only ones i've gotten are from my husband. i would love to go somewhere and get a professional one done. i've hinted for it for mothers day but so far no one has gotten the hint. it does make me feel a lot better, especially after a stressful day.

Hello Wondericequeen, Well, if it's your tickleishness that prevents you from enjoying a massage, then I would offer up that you can mentally control your own reaction to touch. Massage is such a wonderful tool for both health, and relaxation that it seems a shame for you to miss out on its benefits, simply because you are tickleish. I am a huge proponent of massage. Of course, massage performed by one who is not skilled in the art is terribly dissapointing. However, when one finds a really skilled masseuse, it is a great treasure. Personally, I prefer deep tissue massage. Most specifically, every five years or so, I go through a Rolfing series. This is the deepest massage technique, designed to re-align our fascia, or connective tissue. It can hurt like heck, but all in all, the benefits are just shy of truly miraculous. A Rolfing series always includes at least ten sessions, whick focus on the ten regions of the body, but most intensely on the core. Between Rolfing sessions, I really enjoy a good Swedish massage. In my experience, little melts away tension like a great massage. I do hope that you get over your tickleishness, so that you too can enjoy the benefits of massage.

*laughs* Right I think I am too ticklish! But I do feel better after a good massage! I went to a lymph massage one time and oh my god! I felt my body was really light afterwards.

Yes if the person is not professional, it could be the most annoying and uncomfortable experience on earth.

oh,i really enjoy any kind of massage but my favourite is a massage from my country named Javanese Massage.it's the best! after the massage then our skin will be wrapped in some kind of traditional scrub and it made our skin softer and glowing.

I have a Shiatsu machine chair which has different settings and different levels of vibration, rolling, etc. I bought it years ago and they do make more agressive ones now, but I like mine because it looks like any nice fabric covered modern chair and therefore goes with the decor instead of looking like a massage chair. Although one of my very good friends is a massage therapist, I don't much care for being touched by non-family so I don't get "live" massages. There is a water massage machine in a mall near us, but I haven't tried it, although tempted, because it is in a public place and I would feel weird going in there knowing people were watching. The massage chair is very relaxing and is like taking a very short mini vacation, so I like to go there to chill out while waiting for my nail polish to dry and that sort of thing.

Machines are good sometimes too, especially it can be done at home if the machines are not too sizable. I think it's more convenient. I personally don't like to be touched by some stranger and even though I had a good experience about the massage, I still feel weird about it.

Hi wondericequeen! I usually have a foot massage at a foot spa near our place and that really relaxes my feet. I have a regular but very special massage almost every night courtesy of my sweet hubby. The massage relaxes my tired body after all the household chores and the long hours of sitting spent infront of the computer. LOL! Take care and have a nice day!

Foot massage? Oh my gosh! Wouldn't that be painful? Some of my friends went to foot massage but they said the pain was enormous *laughs*, but that's really good for health!
