Do you have multiple personalities? This may seem strange, but I have 8. It's hard sometimes because there's no mix in between them. There's hot-tempered, sad, coldhearted, generous, energetic, anxious, numb, and cocky. Sometimes they set each other off too. It's really strange because it's hard for me to describe myself because I'm never the same person!

Probably bland or mundane but I have two personalities. Good and evil. Now before everyone goes crazy over this I've explained this before. The bad side yes can do some bad stuff. But under the discipline of the good the bad side does a lot of cool things for me. It helps me get psyched and active when I see an injustice going on. It helps me defend myself. Its the one that doesn't let me go lax on serious things in my life like my job, nutrition, responsibilities. And of course the good side allows me to care for others basically. It may not seem like much to some but its enough for me.

Yes we're all a kaleidoscope of personalities or traits, namely more or less degrees of the twelve zodiac signs! I do people's charts and it's always very interesting the different kaleidoscopes. I've learned how to connect these angles of personality and come up with a sort of connect the dots, soul portrait! A kaleidoscope!:)

I too have a couple of different personalities. The three main ones that seem to shine through are the pessimistic me, the hyper me and the anxious me.

That wouldnt be Multiple Personalities...Like its been mentioned, MPD/DID is a mental disorder..not rapid mood swings..nor is it self preservation tactics which is what I do...I DO have rapid extreme mood swings as well but there are also 6 different "me"'s that come into play depending on the situation I'm in...but they ARENT completely different personalities like with MPD/DID, they are more like different intense PARTS of my personality.... This is the diagnostic crit. for MPD/DID A. The presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states (each with its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self). B. At least two of these identities or personality states recurrently take control of the person's behavior. C. Inability to recall important personal information that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness Its actually REALLY interestign to read about..I'm sure you've heard of Sybil (book and movie), then there is The Three Faces of Eve (book) and a VERY intense book called When Rabbit Howls (was actually written BY the personalities of Trudy Chase)...If you ever get a chance to pick any of them up you should..Rabbit in particular but be forewarned its a tough read..

It sounds like you have really strong emotions. It's cool to never be the same person though, because it means you're always different. You must like to keep things interesting.:P

You know thinking about it maybe I do. They are like different masks. But I never thought of it that way. I just thought they were my different emotions coming through. I don't know if they are like the disorder like someone said...just different personalities of you!

I'm really not sure now because everyone who has replied so far thinks it's just my emotions. I'm not sure though. :)

Hi Caitbaby, Multiple personalities is a mental disorder, and I think this is not what you have :) We change our outlook on things during the day due to how we feel, and how we feel has to do with what has happened with this and that during that day. Think about it - you go to your job and you taker a cup of coffee, and are greeted with a smile by your mates there, - your day starts great and you are also friendly and sunny. Later on though your boss comes along and tells how displeased he is that you haven't as yet finished the report he asked you to make for him a week ago. Darn, you totally forgot about this one, and start feeling bad, and guilty and whatnor else. This just ruined your mood. You call home to tell them that you'll be late as you have to finishthis report, and your mother gets angry because you promised her to go to the BD party of your aunt this evening. An other displeasure for you, and your day is now on it's way to be totally ruined. In any case, what you think of as of multiple personalities are just your feelings and emotions, and the interaction between those is forming your personality.

I suppose that could be the case because I have been going through a very stressful period in my life. Fortunately, I've been showing my more positive emotions lately.
