I am 38 yrs old. Just a few days back i noticed a few greyhairs on my head. I know grey hair is a sign of aging but it worried me a lot that i made some adjustments in my hairstyle so that it does not get noticed. What do you feel about greying of hair? Are you cool with it or are you worried?

Why are afraid of grey hair..LOL ha! ha!..ha!!. It is a natural phenomenon. It happens with everyone, with me with others with everybody. Gradually, we grow older these kind of things start happening. I think, it is better we start accepting these changes in our body....because it is difficult to stop psyical changes in our body. Let's us take it on our stride....and enjoy the life and keep our spirits high! How are you? Where were you? No news? Have a great day! Deepak

You are correct with that assessment. We should never be afraid to get grey hair because this is part of life. Everybody will eventually have grey hairs sooner or later. the most important thing is to enjoy life as it is offered to us and stop so much worrying as it could rob us of joy and happiness in life. Life is very much beautiful with or without grey hairs. Have a nice day!

Hi Dear Anamika, I know you are quite worried about Grey hairs..But I would like to tell you ttheir are some reasons for that..First one is if somebody is has stress then it is side effect of it,So it is one of the reason. Secondly in our hair there is one molecule which is resposible for Grey hairs,,which gett developed when stress increased..So now a days In UK & IN USA treament is available for the same,,what they do,,you know?? They simply remove that white molecules as result growth of grey hairs decreases.. so dont bother , I am sure, you will plan trip for USA. -Sincerely Saurabh.

I have two at the side and I love them,. I am 38 yrs old too. My daughter and I have a fight because she wants to remove them and i love them. I have been having them form a child but everyone just take them out and now I actually have 2 I am so proud. To me its just life and I do tryto enjoy life even though I may get some tough kicks in the gut but his is not one of them. When I am older and greyer I hope mine loks just as lovely as a lady in our church. We all call her mom. Her hair looks so nice I think yours would lovely tht way too but hen it is your choise.

Hi, dont worry about your grey hair.I started have few of them , when I was a 19.Everybody use to make jokes about me, but I didn't care.It s natural in our family, my mum had grey hair from 19 also. Not a full head, but a little bit.Grey hair can be from stress, or genetic, so don't worry. It's not just aging.

The only word here is Accept the TRUTH. In your case it's at 38. Mine were grey at 22 and now I am 23. Check the salt level in water. Salty water during bathing is harmfull for hair growth

It is OK. As when we grow old, it is normal to have grey hair. It is very natural. There is no way to stop it. I will take it easy and sometimes ask my husband to pluck it for me.

Hi lovelydame, Nice to see you among the ten star ratings in mylot. Congrats. Me too started worrying about this natural phenomenon, but nowadays i have started to accept it, how long i can try to conceal, by making adjustments to my hairstyle? I am against, in using the dyes. I tried to pacify myself that greyhairs on my head, moustaches, and in beard, are sign of Maturity & Wisdom.

Many people do not believe this, but my opinion is that premature greying is a result of vitamin B deficiency and/or some other health condition. I have many friends in their 60's and older who have little or no grey hair. On the other hand, there is certainly nothing wrong with grey hair, whether it is a little or a lot, as long as the head underneath it is happy and healthy and full of brains. A few years ago I bought eyeglasses with silver frames, expecting that it was about time my hair would be getting lighter, and thinking I'd probably wear the same glasses for quite some time, but my hair is still mostly dark, and now I'm thinking I should have gotten a different color frames. Well, I'm not dying the hair grey to match the eyeglasses, nor buying new frames until I need them, so it will just have to do!

Actually I am 45 and I have a few as well. I color my hair so they don't show although I don't have a huge amount..Eventually when I am in my 80's I will probably be okay with it...LOL..But for now I color it....Grey hairs are a sign of wisdom too! I think of it that way and they don't seem to bother me as much..

I know i have a patch of gray hair on the right side of my head. It's underneath my hair that is still black so it really doesn't cause a problem unless I go for the half up-half down look.

I wouldn't be too worried about the grey hairs. Now a days, people in their teens are getting grey hair. And if you really don't like it, there is always hair dye, that will cover it up, and you get to reinvent yourself.

It is usually a sign of aging, I think you should just color it if it bothers you. I know people who started having gray hair in their twenties. I think genetic make up has a lot to do with it.

I remember that it was very normal for me: One day some one said me that do you know that you have developed grey hair? My reply was this: It is ok! The person asked me: Do you think that is it a sign of maturity? and have you convinced yourself with that? I just smiled and told that if that's the thing then ok let me see and observe, how my graphics shows the maturity! Well I feel to put this that this is like a self praised thing! So let me stop here!

I noticed my first gray hairs when I was nineteen and today at the age of 36 I have to dye my hair as I have so much gray hair in the front . I don't like the fact that I have to dye my hair so early as I have been doing this for about ten years now as the gray hair was so noticable even back then . It makes me feel old and then when I see others who are older them myself , I feel kind of down on myself and wonder if the threory about worrying causing gray hairs might be true as I am a deifinite worrier . As much as I don't like it though , we have to accept it as there is not much we can do to change what already is . Just be relieved you only have a few as you could be like me and had to start dying your hair years ago :) But yes , I understand you being worried about it as I don't like it very much either and it does stress me out !

Well, I'm now 57 -- so the grey has made some real progress on my head! LOL! The only time I concern myself about it is if I'm going to an event where I might be photographed. Then I whip out the Clairol! I figure I've earned every one of these grey hairs the hard way, so I'm not overly concerned about them showing. It does make me look older and more "washed out," but I really can't afford the upkeep of constantly dying my hair. Of course, when you're still short of 40 yrs old, it IS a shock to see the grey -- no more denying the ageing process, unfortunately.

Hi, its somethin that is so natural, if your hair is greying naturally that is, as at times even people with a younger age get grey hair, maybe genetic or hereidty. But i think what they say to greying naturally is something that adds grace, specially to a women and i would love to grey naturally whenever i really start that off. But i think a few greys in your hair isnt something that you should worry or hide about. Its ok, as per the age i feel, as i also have many grey ones and they do keep showing, no matter how much i may hide them. But now i have started using ' mehndi' or henna, what they call it this end, and its a herbal clour and conditioner with no side effects, and conditions and colours to a dark orange black colour shade. So, all the whites have turned this nice colour and are mixed with the dark brown hair that i have, giving it a nice full look. Maybe you can also try some natural colourant. I would not suggest dyes nor the ones that have chemicals, as they would eventually harm your hair.

No, I'm not cool with it. I hate it. I have to get my hair dyed about every 10 weeks, I could do it every 5 weeks according to my hair dresser but that gets expensive and I don't want to do it myself since I would probably screw it up. I'm 39 and have been dying my hair for about 15 years now. I have a patch of gray on the top of my head and recently noticed more strands throughout. You can't really see mine but I know they are there. My husband tells me to accept it and not worry about it. Easy for him to say, he's 48 and just started to get a few grays here and there.
