As long as he's in control of it and it can't hurt anyone. The little ones are ok, but the big ones probably not.

i think people in the mall would have had a fit if it was a larger snake...i dont think the kid would have been able to keep a large snake low key...

well it depends on whether the snakes are poisonous or not and if they are then they should not be left free which in case might harm anyone else....

Just as if a dog was dangerous to people, if the snake is dangerous it should be not allowed near other people. I think for the kid carrying around the snake people might think that its not right because snakes scare a lot of people compared to someone carrying around a dog in a hand bag. However, some people are afraid of dogs so its really not fair to say you can't carry a snake versus being able to carry a dog around.

Honestly, no. I don't think any pet should be carried around like that in case it gets scared or gets in an accident. I think the dog carrying trend is just silly. Now places that are outdoors and pretty safe like pet parks are cool though.

I have 2 views on this: First, given that it is not too likely a small child is toting around a venomous snake, I really don't see the problem, generally speaking. And if it was just something little like a garter snake or similar, it's hardly a danger to anyone. However-- Bringing animals in to public places such as malls/stores/restaurants is a terribly bad idea. This trend of toting small dogs around in bags is just so ridiculous, and many many animals just do not react well to strange, often noisy environments. Pets should only be brought to places that are pet-friendly(dog park, some pet stores) and cater to the needs of animals(exceptions would be working animals, seeing-eye dogs, etc). I care a lot about my pets, and as such they only go to places where they will be safe and not terrified of their surroundings.

If the snake is not dangerous to people, then it should be allowed wherever other pets are allowed.

I think if someone can carry a dog around then he should be able to carry around his snake.

There is nothing wrong with carrying a snake around. It is his pet and people always take their pets out and about. What is wrong with a snake? This goes for all pets and owners: If he can keep it under control then there is no problem. If people do not like snakes they can steer clear of him.:) He should be allowed to do what he wants as long as it isn't hurting people. I am sure the snake liked the outing also.

I think this will be answered with another question that is: Will the pet owner have the ability to pet and tame them in public? If yes, they can bring them and if no, they should not bring them in public. Can you please respond to my discussions with the username Dennik? I guarantee you that they are interesting. It will be a great help for me. Thank you in advance. Would it sound too demanding if I ask you to refer my discussions to your friends? Or if your kind enough to give me some leads. I’m just hoping not demanding. I hope you will not misinterpret it. Your support would mean a lot. I look forward in helping you too in whatever way I can help. Again thank you.

Nope, even if its non venomous, it will cause a stir in crowds coz not everyone is comfortable with the sight of live snake just a few inches away from them. I think they should be kept in their owners' vicinity

I dont see why not. As long as you keep your petdog on a leash you can take itout in publicand several people just leave their cats run around unrestrained. I think if you have your pet snake under your supervision and not loose you can take it out.

Snakes scare me - Snakes are very scary and should only be allowed in public with their owners if they do not pose a threat.
It would be fine with me if they just kept their snakes at home...they scare the heck outta me lol. But I think that the owners do have rights to take them out if they aren't dangerous.

I think people should be able to have whatever pet they want in public as long as it doesn't hurt anyone or destroy anyones property.
