I actually live in Australia (the first one out of all the responders so far), although I live on the NSW east coast. My brother lives in South Australia, though, and absolutely loves it, Maxi is correct, there are many beautiful parks and activities in that area, I'm sure you'll adore it, even if there's some adjusting to do at first. Can I ask what field of work you will be entering? Good luck, and best wishes, Malyck.

Sorry, I didn't even answer any of the do's and don'ts... mainly because I don't really know any, even though I'm a born and bred Aussie... I'd just say: don't break the laws, and do make as many friends as you can; establish yourself in your new community, and I would imagine that you will find Australia to be the wonderful place that it really is =D I would suggest that you move as soon as you can before starting work and do a little travel. Victoria and New South Wales are my favourite states, and there are some truly magical places to visit. Again, best of luck =D

Wow! I am glad for you! I don't live in Australia but I know that people are really nice there! I hope you could find all the information you need around here and you have my blessing on the trip and your new way of living in a new environment! I hope to move too *laughs*. Really exciting.

Well, Divinelight I never have been to Australia before. But, I have seen it on TV and I have heard a lot about it. Mostly in the Discover Channel. They have a lot of exotics animals that can't be found anywhere in the world. That is all I know. I know it isn't much of help but good luck when you get there. Enjoy it either way.

I am sure that you are going to really enjoy living in Adelaide. I have enjoyed spending time there. There are many beautiful parks and gardens. There is an old tram that runs to the coast that is quite fun to go on. I suggest a weekend trip to wonderful Kangaroo Island to see amazing wildlife like seals, penguins and kangaroos.
