I am 27 years old, but I never watched movies by myself in movie houses. I want to experience it too, but i don't think so...??? i think i will try. :-)
For me i can't enjoy watching movies in the movie house alone. I need to have a friend or companion with me. How about you?

I prefer to have someone with me when I go watch a movie at the theater. I HAVE gone to watch one alone ONE time and it felt strange but I did do it. It was sort of an experiment to see if I could actually do it and I did. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. But really, I prefer to have a friend with me so we can laugh together or be sad together.

Alright that is fair, but I'm not trying to get anyone to be like me. Notice my posts and comments, its just my feelings and opinions on the matter. For one thing, I'm trying to encourage some freedom, but take it however you wish.

See thats the real problem. Why does it feel strange? Are people glaring or something? If thats the case, then tough for them. Ignore them. Its your time and money, and if you can't get anyone to accompany you, just enjoy the movie and enjoy your offtime. That's one thing I can't stand about the public at large, so many glares and stigmas that are really weak and baseless (and also passive acceptance of already established frames of mind, i.e. couples only, blah blah).
I'll quit now before I start blowing gaskets

I can watch them alone easy. Its easy being a loner sometimes, but I can kinda understand why its not that way for you Cia. At least its someone to talk to, react with and you get a different perspective on what you are seeing. Its actually kind of nice when you think about it.

Do what makes you feel comfortable Cia. If you can't do it, don't strain yourself. All I've posted was my ops and obs, you don't have to do it at all. Remember what I said in the opening post, its your time, your freetime. Spend it however you wish and do what makes you feel comfy.

I am like you, I want a companion with me to share a laugh with - to talk about the movie with afterwards - to squeeze tight when there is a fright - or to spill popcorn all over.... and to share my junior mints with. I would be uneasy sitting in the theatre with no one I care about being with me.

i've never watched a movie in theaters on my own either. i'd rather do it with a companion or with some friends... it's more fun that way. watching movies is one of the things i don't want to do on my own, coming from a big family, there was no sense for me to do that when i can easily get somebody to accompany me. =)

Well consider yourself lucky, you've also got someone who's a bit envious Elmo. I come from a big family, but its scattered (oh and I don't mess with the paternal side -_-). I have a few friends here and there, but they too are scattered about. Maybe I'm too independent or too much of a loner, but I've gotten use to doing so many things alone.

Hello and welcome to MyLot ciades. I rarely go to the movies anymore, especially with ticket prices so high now, but when I do, I prefer to go with someone else. It's much more fun to watch a movie with someone else so you can discuss it at the end. :D

I dont like going to movies alone. I usually watch a movie with either my friends or relatives. I dont find watching alone to be fun. I dont want to experience it either. If ever no one wants to accompany me to theaters then I dont go for it. Watching movies alone is a no-no for me.

Hi ciades! I never watched movies alone in movie houses and i don't think I can ever do it alone. I wouldn't be enjoying it without someone to laugh it with or be scared with at the same time. I think I get kind of scared also being in a place that is dark and I don't know the people who will be sitting beside me. Take care and have a nice day!
