Would you get married to her?

I would but I am a rebel. I am a Canadian lady and as such I would expect the man to tell his parents he loves me and he is going to marry me whether they like it or not. If they do they are welcome in my life, if not thanks for bringing me into the world and raising me to be independant and I am following my heart. On the other side of the coin I know a lot of immigrants from India and they have told me how some of them feel about their kids dating and marrying out of there race. Lots of them still carry on the tradition of arranged marriages and right or wrong they can be quite stubborn and will disown their kids if they don't listen to them. So I think it would be a really hard choice to make if you had to choose your family or your love. In a perfect world we would all be with our soulmates.

Hi, Stanch!! Yes, I think I would go on and marry her!! Your friend should marry her but not her family. Of course we should know what's her choice. ^_^

I do not see why not at all. I understand that is against their tradition but sometimes love doesn't have to be with in the same culture a person is from. It could be from some other cultures too. I think love is more important than tradition any day in my opinion.
