What are your favorite numbers. Do you have any at all? If you do share them. If not, lucky numbers can count toward this discussion to. You may also share numbers you encounter very frequently, or numbers you have a curiosity/propensity toward.
Some of mine are
Negative 3 - Anytime its something online that completely sucks, I give it a rating of negative 3 out of 10.
3/4 -seems like that pops up in cooking and some minor auto maintenance from time to time.
7 -birth number or part of it
29 -24 adjusted for inflation (a personal favorite)
47 -42 adjusted for inflation
101 -several instances of it
234 -I've seen a lot of peak numbers list containing this many items
255 -plenty of computer references
256 -several instances of it, especially in computers/online
717 -made up lucky number
777 -birth number
1024 -computation/binary thresholds
4356 -prefix to acre
40000 -approx circumference of Earth both directions
70000 -don't know why but its a favorite
4.5 billion -age of Earth
And sometimes you can find out a lot about someone through lucky or favorite numbers. I just want to see what everyone says.

I like the numbers pi and thirteen.
Pi sounds like pie, and everyone loves pie.
Fun stuff happen on Friday the thirteenth on DragonFable, and Tatari from Melty Blood is number thirteen. That's two good reasons for me to like the number thirteen. =]

Hah, funny. But wouldn't pi be too infinite for a favorite number.
Or maybe that's also part of why you like it (Besides the name association ;p)
Good post.

This year I love 24 for I am celebrating my 24th birthday on the 24th of September Godwilling... hehehe

Hah, a few have told me I've got too many. I didn't even list all of them, just the ones that I thought were great beyond great in my opinion. I might list others as a response to my own thread.
I also like how your favorite number is based on your family. I know plenty of people who do that, especially when they have a family of their own to love and care for. I see 3,4,5 quite a bit in that case.
Thank you kindly for reading and responding Reyn.

my favorite numbers is 6 ,8, 13.
6, it means you can do anything easily, and no difficulties on it.
8, it means you can earn too much money in your life.
so it is expensive in my country to get numbers with the two numbers. such as telephone numbers:88888888. it costs over 10,000. car number:8888 it costs more than the phone number.
13, it has special meaning for me, and i was born in 13th,Dec.But in some countries, it is a bad number. what about it in your country?

Thanks for sharing that. 13 is the bakers dozen and some assign it to bad luck. I don't (in fact 13 saved a small party I went to. An extra guest came and we were able to get another discount allowing more the party more options).

I did not have a favorite number until I grew old. Then I realised my most favorite number is 2. Yes number 2 is by far my most favorite number, I just wish it came around more often. Of course if it did it would no longer be my favorite number, it would most likely revert to number one.

I have this number 8 which is so lucky and important for me. I love this number as it was the date when i proposed to my love and she accepted it. I like the number 6 because it never did any harm to me, wherever i saw 6. But i hate 7. 2007 has been very unlucky for me!!

Wow..! You have quite an array of numbers there. The only number I've considered special to me throughout my life has been, '21'...It's part of my birthdate and I just like it; there's probably an underlying mental aspect there as well where I'd truly love to be 21 again.

Oh, yes, I have always had a very strong preference for the number nine. Later I learned that it is associated with dragons and I've always liked them, too, although I've not met an actual one...at least I don't think so.
You like an awful lot of numbers! I bet you enjoy reading about Cydonia and the Mars anomalies.

Hello there. My favourite number would be 7. I believe it's a perfect number. =D
The number that I often get acquainted with is number 4. My Birth Date is 4.. My position in school when I was in junior school is 4 too.. etc etc..
The number i dread the most is 6 because I believe it's a Satan's number. Personally I am fine with the number 13 even though many people considered it unlucky.

Cool question! I love numbers, I can remember every jersey number I ever wore playing sports and that's like 25 different seasons! My favorite numbers are 3, 8 and 33. Double numbers are special for some reason, double letters also have some signifigance. Wonder what that says about me? :-)

Ah numbers.
Sometimes I consider them a curse.
I don't like numbers increasing by 5, and so I'm very specific with the amount of one thing that I have, and the volume number I use on my tv/appliances =P
Firstly, my boyfriend's favourite number is actually: several; the universal number, and it is often his alias on websites =]
Myself:
7, I don't know what it is about this number, but it seems to always pop up for me, and became even more significant when one day, my boyfriend said "I Love You", and straight away, I retorted with, "Nah, I love you more, like + 7!".
He gave me the strangest look =D
8, is that favourite number between myself and my best friend (aka the bucketkids)
13, probably my most consistent favourite number, and also my father's. I always had to have the 13 jersey when I played soccer, as I believed it made me play better =P
At age 13 was also when I went through a lot of my harshest trials in life, so it was a turning point in my life.
24, the age of one of my past boyfriends, that I would always try to relate to things in my life.
31, 13 backwards, and the street number of the first home that my dad owned.
I have other numbers that I 'enjoy', and I'm slightly OCD.
Not only can I only have the volume on any of the numbers stated above, I also can't have something like... 5 meatballs on my plate, I have to split them up into say.. 13 segments and then eat a certain amount at once so that I always have a likable number =P
Another great discussion, Pro!
Mal.

Oh my bubba is there a group thing for this - or would you have to be careful about the number of people in a group therapy setting? j/k.
I have trouble with numbers, even though there is magic in them. Numbers transcent cultures, languages - could even be considered language in itself. Numbers, and pattern is considered how we might communicate with aliens we might encounter when we begin space trials. Patterns help us learn, play and compose music. There is so much in science I am blocked from understanding because it involves numbers.
I can memorize poetry and passages from Shakespeare, I'll memorize the way sunlight hits a persons eyes and turn them into cat's eyes or the way someone might say my name, a verbal caress sending shivers up my spine. Numbers though they get all tangled up inside. It takes me months to memorize my own phone number and its promptly forgotten when I get a new one - I do remember the first number I memorized as a child though - 735.5696.
Yet, I dream of numbers - alot - sometimes strings of numbers. And this one psychic I went to for free - student psychic at the Berkley Psychic Institute, said that around my aura she saw NUMBERS - of course she also said my aura was neat and orderly a thing I have trouble believing for sure. There were a lot specific things she said that were right on - then she said this and then went all sci-fi from there!
My favourite number is 7. Don't know why I just like it, it feels nice. When you were a kid did you ever try to imagine how numbers relate to each other - which numbers got along and which ones didn't - okay I was a wierd child. I thought about this and existance and such as early as seven.

My favorite number is four (4), for no reasons why I don’t know. I even do crazy stuff relating number 4 like every time I get to decide when to do this and do that, I sometimes count 1 to 4 first. When I have to base something with a number, it should be number 4. hehe…

The number 12 is our number. My son was born at 2:12 am, on 4-12, weighed 6.12, 2+4+6=12, he picks things with 12 on it, my hunny went to a race and it was the 12th race, we went to the tractor pulls and I had seat 12...Theres more I just cant think of them right now. So I guess 12 is our number!! I also get alot of occurances of double numbers. Wierd!!

My favorite numbers, because they were my favorite ages, are 5 & 13.
5, because I wasn't in school yet, was big enough to dress myself, get my own drinks of water, brush my hair & STILL have my folks take care of me - I did start school before I turned 6, but most of 5 was really good!
13 because that's the year I watched The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and the year Star Trek started! It also wasn't nearly as rotten as the year before or the year after.
I turned 13 in 8th grade.
