Who are better drivers?? Men or Women?

I don't think we should compare, who is better driver.I thnk both of us is the same.I think man is much more technical like a woman so he is maybe better in this part, but woman are more carefull. You know I hear this so much also , complaining about lady drivings, just don't listen it, or stick something to his mouth and he will be quite.

I don't know the true answer, but I can go by my own experience. The men I know have gotten in trouble with the law due to traffic violations. My partner scares the crap out of me sometimes. So did my ex-bf. I'm more cautious and don't drive like I have to be there "yesterday". They're always in a hurry. There are some women that shouldn't be on the road, but that goes for men too. I know men and women who are a lead foot, etc. Personally, I think it goes by each individual.

As a woman I have to agree with your partner. Men used to be worse drivers. Not any more. More women are more aggressive and don't pay attention. Gab on cell phones, try and put on make up, are yelling at or trying to deal with bratty kids who no longer have respect. Most drive a lot faster than most men. My ex daughter in law has had 9 car accidents in the last two years. My son had none. Another DIL had 3 to my sons one. My own daughter had two, her husband none. I had 3 all involving other women drivers. Two ran red lights and hit me. One on a cell phone rear ended me at a red light. My husband NONE. Women more often run stop lights and signs more. I won't drive at night. I have night blindness. I won't answer my cell phone when driving it is too dangerous. Women often change lanes and don't signal or signal intent to turn. Men do but not as much. I would far rather be a passenger in the car with a man drive most the time than a woman driver. I would say women are worse drivers now than men were 15 years ago.

It is really hard to say. I think it depends a lot on the individual, and also on their age. For example, I am a really careful driver now, and I'm female. But say, 15 years ago, I took a lot more risks. That was due to just being young and immature. So it depends on the person's personality and their age, I think, rather than gender.

When u compare men and women, the answer is men are better drivers than women. Women are slow drivers. Its not their fault as god has programmed different both men and women. Actually women think a lot while driving, taking a turn or parking the car. but on the road u have to take quick decisions, otherwise it results in a accident. the example that "everytime there is car...........must be lady driver" happens with me also. i am from india. i am expecting that responses of this discussions are from different parts of the world. so u can make out that women are slow drivers. u r saying women are better drivers as they are more cautious and careful but u have to be quick too which is again a MOST IMPORTANT POINT. right....

I think women drivers are less than men .It is a reason that the majority of road accidents involved women .There is no best driver in the world .It depends on different ocassions.

Ask any insurance company and you may get a big suprise... They say female drivers are much safer drivers than males because they are more aware of what is going on around them. Men tend to speed more than female drivers therefore getting more tickets. Men also get more DUI's than women. Yeah! Women are the better drivers...

I suppose men _should_ be better drivers than woman, because men can only focus on 1 thing, and women focus on multiple things at the same time. Well it's true that men are reckless, but I know some women too who aren't really safe drivers though.

I do not feel that gender matters in driving safely. Both men or women are good and bad drivers. I do not think that gender matters here. Whatever gender you are, please drive safely. There is someone waiting for you and one needs to respect life. God bless.

If you go by the statistics of the dmv then it's women, but I can honestly say that not one relationship I have been in have I ever been the worser driver.

I think men can drive better than women. It is psychologically proved that lady drivers are very slow because they always have some fear inside them when they are on the roads trying to be extra careful. But men can be careful and as all as be superfast drivers. Now thats the quality you need to be an effective driver.

I don't really think any gender is better at driving, they're just bad in different ways. Men drive too fast, and women drive too slow. Unless they're old. Old people of either gender drive equally slowly. Oh, and being "cautious and careful" does not make people better drivers if it means being slow and indecisive enough to inconvenience everyone behind them.

In my opinion both genders fail at driving. Men because they are so intent on going 15-20-30 above the speed limit at all times. They are also ones to showboat with total disregard for others. Women because some of them do the same thing speeding thing (though not always) or make plenty selfish decisions on the road (turns into pedestrians, stratling lanes, no signaling). Don't get me wrong but really I don't look at drivers in genders, I just see bad drivers almost all the time.
