If a user has a lot of posts deleted, will he/she get banned?

I've been seeing a new user posting blank responses in old threads, and I've reported a few of them as spam, but I want to know if there's any point to doing it. If he can keep doing this without getting banned, there isn't much point in reporting it over and over again. So, do users get banned if they have a lot of posts deleted, or do they only get banned for more serious offences?

i think mylot managers can do something about it. regarding if they get ban or not, perhaps that's possible. i have personally seen responses like what you mentioned and they kind of put me into disgust. spammers are all around and the people behind it just can't get a life.

I know if posters are reported for repeated postings of referral links, they can and do get banned eventually.

Thanks for the information, but he's not posting referral links, he's just posting blank responses. Will that sort of spam also get him banned?

It really should, although they may hand out a warning first. But if it continues, they will ban the poster if people continually report it.

Sometimes the links are fully relevant to the discussion. Are those reported too or are you speaking of Spam links?

MyLotters can give the Boot! - Policing of such a large site as MyLot is a task falling largely on it's users. Bad users get the boot mainly by other users.
If this is a repeated pattern, you can hit the 'abusive' button with an explanation that you believe he or she is attempting to scam the MyLot system. Alerting the MyLot community to this user's activity brings a ban that much closer to fruition, as the policing of such a large site is a task falling largely on it's users.

I'm not sure. Have you tried contacting him to see why he keeps doing it? He sounds like a weirdo to me. Or just someone who has nothing better to do with his time.

it is necessary to keep the forum work well. then some discussions break the rules must be deleted. 1. don't post a discussion with referral link. 2. please post qulified discussions and responses. you had better to see the rules exactly. good luck.
