Im a freelance writer, however, being one is very hard. You see I am working in a company (an online one) where they will pay us monthly basing on the numbers of paper and the quality of paper we make. However 3 months has passed and I'm not paid yet. My life is in trouble now coz I have put up so much effort on this one. I'm even starting to feel that I am being scammed. Do you know any company hiring freelancers? companies that really pay and wouldnt cheat writers? companies that doesn't look down on Filipino writers. Its very depressing.

I'm a freelance writer too. I worked for a company and like your's it is also via internet. Since your from Philippines I would recommend Sneakin Design. The salary is not much. It will depends on the quanity and quality of your works but I can assure you that they will pay you for your work.Good Luck!!

Do you pay for the bid?I have seen people bidding there. Or do we bid and the admin take the bid money. I heard some companies are good and some are not paying.

Actually what does a freelance writer do?
Is he someone like a journalist?
I know it is very difficult nowadays to find out publishers for one's articles.
could you be more clear about your job?

Freelance writing is a tough profession. Have a look at Helium.com. They post companies that require writing on a deadline - usually a pretty quick turnaround.
They also have writing as a sort of contest in many categories. You write and other people rate your writing and if yours is the bst, you get $100.
Check it out. It may be something you want to be involved in.
The site has been around quite a while and has a good reputation.

Yes, I'm a freelance writer too and it's really tough. I've been attempting to make a living at it full-time since February. I'm making a lot less than I was at my last job, but I enjoy this much more and wouldn't trade it for anything.
I have a degree in English, Creative Writing, and Environmental Science and try to use that experience in my writing, whether articles, short stories, poetry or novels. I'm working on my first novel now, but only in my 'spare' time. Ha! Ha!
How about you? If you tell me a few more details, I might be able to recommend some more sites that might be up your alley.
