Today is my daughter's birthday. She is two today. I don't know what else to get her. She has plenty of dolls and it's really hard to know what's safe these days since there are so many recalls. We have her a gift (shopping cart) but I want to go out and buy something else from her brother to give her today before her birthday party.

We bought our daughter a little people villiage. we didn't really buy her much because they have so much already. We have all the toys that her older sister was given so we're already stocked with toys. so we mainly got her clothes and a toy to open.

It is indeed hard to know what to buy that is safe nowadays. I would suggest picture books. However, no matter how many toys your daughter has, I bet she would still love to have more toys and more dolls. That is how children are. They just love toys and more toys.

Because she is just 2 years old, she will appreciate whatever gifts she receive... Do you know what is her favorite or she was hoping to have one day... AS my experience you will heard them that mommy i like that... mommy buy me that... mommy lets go to mall will go back to... you may buy what she really wants or if not..
You may think some important stuff that she can use like clothes or shoes ...

I think a great gift to give would be something that would stimulate her brains, like big puzzle pieces or letter/number blocks.

I know this is a very old post but I still want to wish your daughter a very happy birthday. My daughter will be two in four more months.

wow, it has been 8 months since this discussion was created - what did you decide to give your precious daughter? how did it work out for her? I think two year olds are always on the go with exploring and testing their gross motor skills - so I would think some kind of ride on toy or pushing toy that makes noises would be enjoyed. They are also starting to develope the finer skills so non toxic washable crayons and a large picture coloring books would also be ideal or lacing beads and lacing cards
