Why are there so many churches, the Catholic church is first church commissioned by the Lord Jesus Himself.

I agree with the. The Catholic Church is the church instituted by Christ Himself in Peter, the rock. Christ has promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church - although they will certainly try!

Good point, it says a pillar of smoke shall be seen in Holy places (in the church), the son of perdition shall try to corrupt the chosen and the few who are spoiling the good name of the church are the trials and tribulations which the church shall conquer in due course.

The catholic church is the true and the first church. The other christian organization formed much later on account of small difference in idiology and triffle matters.
