Dou you shop on the internet?What do you buy the most?
I have never buy anythin on the internet, because I like to go to the stores and see how thing look in real. But now I am thinking to buy few things on the internet.What is your experience?

I consider shopping one of my hobbies. It is also a talent, I'm good at finding meaningful gifts for people. I love to walk through stores, especially at Christmas time, and just look around. This is more difficult with babies though, so I started doing more internet shopping.
My favorite online stores are eBay and Amazon. I have purchased anything from vintage games to diapers.

I have found that the best gifts rekindle fond memories for the recipient. When my cousin got married I gave him a few of our favorite games that we used to play together growing up. I gave my aunt a painted plate that had on it the building that her mother used to work in. I also make gifts sometimes. Last year, my mother-in-law's favorite gift was a bookmark that I made out of scrapbook paper and pictures of our kids.
It is more difficult when you don't know a person very well. For you, I would get the book "A week at the beach: 100 life-changing things you can do by the seashore" from Amazon.com. Or maybe "My Slovakia: An American's View", or "Panini Express: 70 Delicious Recipes Hot Off the Press" also from Amazon.com.

I have done some shopping on the internet and there are some things to be cautious about. One is what you mentioned, that is not being able to really see and inspect what you are buying. I have bought DVD's from ebay and amazon with good luck. I bought some stuff from overstocked.com with mixed results. I got speakers there that looked good in the photo, but turned out to be lousy. I buy some vitamins from a discount vitamin site and have not a problem there. So you just have to be careful and don't buy certain things such a clothing and off brand items.

I live in a very small town in the mountains with limited shopping. So I shop on the internet for those items which I cannot find in the local stores. Books mostly.
