This Friday is my 11th wedding anniversary. Since it is also Labor Day weekend, we will be celebrating our anniversary for 4 days. I can't wait. We have a few different things to do but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. We can't travel this year, so that would be out. Thanks for helping me with some ideas.

Hi wonderful1! Tell you mom I say Happy Birthday! :)
How about just sending her a nice bouquet of flowers. I know it's a pretty generic idea, but I have yet to meet a mom that doesn't like getting flowers.

Congratulations, and I hope you have a wonderful anniversary. I tend to agree with yaneeps, about the evening. It's simple, yet romantic. But, you could always go out to a nice restaurant together, and maybe a romantic movie. But whatever you choose to do, I hope you have a really nice time. Take care.

Happy Anniversary!
If you really can't travel, why not prepare a very romantic evening? dim the lights, put on some music, prepare a very romantic candlelight dinner and watch a movie on dvd.
if you have kids, you could ask a neighbor to look after them. it's just a couple of hours.
hope this helps! and cheers to your marriage!

Ultra congratulations OURDEW from the helpful wizard, Pro!
Congrats on 11 years of marriage!
I hope the day treats you well too.
Oh gift ideas?
Okay. Here goes nothing! The traditional gift on an 11th year anniversary is Steel. However, it could be hard giving something of steel to your husband. Well not quite, you could even go metaphoric if you want (Remington Steel for example ;p)
The modern gift idea for the 11th anniversary is jewelry. Maybe a simple ring with his birthstone on it could work. But then again, this landmark gift idea seems to favor women receivers. No offense meant, its just hard for me to come up with male fashionable jewelry you could give. Maybe a necklace but I only know a few guys who go for that kinda thing. Cufflinks could work as well.
Other ideas that popped to mind. Uh, maybe something that synchronizes your anniversary with Labor Day. It might not seem like much but a sports lawn chair or game tickets could work. That or something to do with one of his favorite activities. He's probably worked hard and deserves some unwinding. It'll also show you are thinking about him in more ways than one like he thinks of you in more ways than one. Sure you can go out to dinner and such and it sounds like you will, but these gift ideas it will at least show you are considering him as a redblooded male :)
More other ideas. Leather belt with a belt buckle with his initials (okay probably not possible since this is the night before, but it could be a future idea). A slick leather watch could work too, especially if that wasnt what you got him first anniversary. Perhaps a small pocketwatch he can frequent and keep on him from time to time. I'm running low now so that's it for now!
Good luck Ourdew.
