I do a pretty good job of not letting things stress me out. When I do I get on a video game and chop some poor monster to pieces.

I'm on the couch with my puppies, and Andrea Bocelli on the stereo--- full blast! Can't have stress with that voice in my head! And I nap, then wake up with ideas on how to get the stresses to be minimized... then a cup of coffee, then I get busy with those solutions!

Stress has become such a normal, common phenomenon for all of us, and we have to make out ways to over come that stress, tobe able to lead a normal life. I for one, do a number of things, depending on how strssed i am. If i am really stressed out, i just lock myself up in a seperate place, put on my head sets and cut off from the world outside and listen to my soft, soothing music, mostly instrumental, slow and soft, as that soothes me off and calms me and removes all my thoughts from my mind. At othe times incase its a tiff i mayve had or a small argument, i go off for a 10-15 brisk walk in the fresh open air, that refreshes me up again. And a normal general stress reliever that i always do daily, as the work pressure is always there when we return home, so in order to set and keep that aside,i meditate for around 45 min daily, and that helps me a great deal, as it makes you go to another world and be one to one with Him in between and thats the time i talk out to Him and share my thoughts and feelings as well, and its only after this that i do other house works at home. I feel so much better off.

My remedies to stress and dealing with it. Take a nap when the first opportunity to presents itself. Many times sleep really reverses stress and your body will sometimes thank you too. Take a walk around the block. Take the time to reflect or to clear your head. Stargaze. You can do this with or without a telescope. I find it just fine to sit out on the porch and look at the stars with a drink. I literally find the stress whisking away in the moment Bath time. Make sure to clean yourself off beforehand. But take a nice relaxing bath, put on some relaxing music too if you want. I find the music helpful at times. Tea or Hot Chocolate. I've found both quite helpful when coping with stress. Especially teas. Cold water drink. Strange as it sounds, I've even used this to help deal with stress. Sometimes I just needed to literally cool down and refresh. Cold cloth around the neck or shoulders. Sometimes the stress and tension collects in those areas. I've found a cold cloth or ice pack good in a situation like that. Rather relaxing.

To be somewhere alone for a few minutes is the most thing I often do to relaxing the stress that I have. Taking a bath of course will help more.

Tearing paper into small pieces helps in lessening stress in the following ways. 1. The rhythmic movements of tearing paper may release accumulated physical stress. 2. The constrain ripping noise may help you tune out the world and calm down. 3. After tearing the paper, you feel that you have achieved something.

I cannot always handle my stress though most of time I can. I usually go out to take a bikeriding around the mountain in the country to feel good. This is the best way for me because the quiet country and fresh air there help me a lot. This is my usual practice.
