i have brothers who likes to watch horror movies, i am not into this scary movies but i still try to watch it because they rent horror movies to watch at home. Actually, it doesn't really scares me a lot if i'm with somebody else like family and friends while watching it. The thing is my brother use to turn off the lights, stay quiet and then in the very scary thrilling part of the screen all of a sudden they will just grab my arm and scare me to death so i'd be really pissed at them so i'll throw pillows and they will be just laughing at me. Actually they like to do that to me all the time. All they can see sometimes is me and tease me most of the time, i don't get mad but i just get really annoyed but i also miss it now, i just think that maybe because i'm the only girl in the family that's why they like to tease me and scare me with this horror movies cause usually girls get scared watching it. Now, that i'm married the one who do the same thing to me is my husband, when we watch a horror movie he's the one who will just grab my feet and hand to scare me also. hhmm.. i think guys really like to do this kinda thing. Anyway, i don't always watch horror movies, i just like to watch it with somebody. i don't like to watch horror movies when i'm alone specially at night cause i can't sleep and i might dream of it. How many people here watch horror movies? Are you not scare watching horror movies? Tell me some experiences while watching a horror movie.

Yes. I like horror movies. It seems like the last few years the horror movies have been really bad. They are not scary at all. They are mostly slasher type blood and gore movies and they don't scare me. I would love to see a real scary movie that really scares me instead of showing all that blood and guts.

For the horror movies without blood and guts you have to watch the olden ones then. The "SAW" series has been a great thinking type horror film. But of course there's tons of blood and gut scenes in them all.

Those types of horrors are hard to come by. Really, a good psychological scaring isn't too common. SAW does come to mind as one that fits the bill, The Ringu/The Ring, not so much, but good try ;p. Cube/Hypercube, but its pretty tame too. You are right Dream, those kinds of horrors are pretty rare in todays world. Usually books if done right can fit this bill too. Parasite Eve for example (yet still not that scary for me)

I do not like horror movies. I like suspense, thriller, comedy or fun loving movies. horror movies which are clean made is good to watch but one which have annoying scenes disturbs me. I enjoy light movies.

I love a good horror movie sometimes. I think the older ones were much better than what they have out today, they had more suspense than gore, and most of the ones today have no real plot (just action.) I don't usually watch them by myself if it's right before bedtime, although it does depend on what the subject is about. The only movie I can recall that gave me nightmares was The Exorcist, and I have no real reason why. (The book was definitely scarier than the movie version of it) When I lived at home my brother used to do the same thing and scared the bejeebers out of me hahaha. He always waited until things on the screen were real intense, and I was totally absorbed in the movie, then BAM, he'd grab my shoulder or something and I'd always jump and scream.

My wife is really into horror movies so every Saturday night is dubbed Horror Movie Night. I myself could do with out the things. I like suspense but the blood and guts stuff just isn't my thing. If it were up to me I would not watch them. But is is real fun to watch the kids because once the action start they start jumping like pop corn in hot oil.

I LOVE horror movies. As long as Im watching them with someone else. But I hate to watch any movie alone. Even the comedies. I just hate to watch movies alone. But horror has got to be one of my favorite genres. With the exception of anime, sci fi, and fantasy. Catagories like that. I really guess some people just enjoi scaring others. I love to do it to my sister. Because she is way super scared of Darth Vadar and especially on halloween. we always get someone to buy a darth costume. Its fun. it really is. As long as its just good clean fun. And not toture.

I sometimes watch horror movies, but not as much as I used to. I usually like to turn out the lights when I watch them, but I don't really get that scared anymore. When I was younger, horror movies sometimes really scared me, but now they don't seem that scary to me, or else they just kinda freak me out a little.

I like to watch horror movies with someone or even when I am alone. I am not scared to watch horror movies, I do same thing as your brothers does. Turn off the lights and have the sound turned up loud, that way its more exciting. I have not seen any good horror movies for a long time now, I think the old ones are still the good ones like exorcist.:-)

I am a horro film fanatic. but my faves are the b type horros from the 50's on up. the old campy type horror films I am speaking about. The ones that really don't scare you but make you laugh most times. One of my all time faves is called "Motel Hell". It's about a place called Motel Hello. But the neon "O" is burnt out thus the title of the film. About a farming family that makes sausages that all in the little town love. They set traps to injure people then plant them like a farming crop. That's all I shall say. It's from the mid 70's I think. If you get a chance this one is hilarious actually. Anyhow that's my take ob horror films. Thanks also for this opportunity.

I really don't like horror movie because I don't like to be scared. Most of the movie I will be under my blanket not watching it lol
When I was young, everytime I was watching a horror movie I was making nightmare for weeks and was not able to get up in the night.
Sometimes I watch some with my boyfriend, but most of the time he will watch it alone lol

I am not a brave person, to be frank:) However, I am interested in watching horror movies. I think this feeling is very interesting because sometimes I will feel so scared after watching it. Perhaps it will be a good practice for me to be brave.

I watch horror movies and its very rare to get scared. I've been watching them since age 8 (during my fallout with Airwave TV ;p). I've watched several horrors and read a few of them. I agree most are completely predictable or aren't scary but just stupid/funny.
