Keys on your Computer Keyboard

"Hell I didn't even know what they were there for" LOL yea same here..there are numerous keys on my board that I've no clue what they're for or what they'll do which for someone like me can be an issue cause ya gotta know if I'm not supposed to touch it cause I dont know what will happen...I'm bound to touch it LOL "DANGER!WARNING! DO NOT TOUCH BIG RED BUTTON!!" *touches big red button* ;-)

I count thirteen I never use, to my knowledge. Two of which I have no idea about, and unlike you, I do not have my user's manual anywhere that I can lay hands on. That is on my desktop. I would have to be at my laptop to determine which ones I do not use there.

I looked at mine and I think I have used them all at one time another except for the f keys I use both no. keys sets and the page ones

Im like you i only use the keys that i know will work for me.The keys on the right i never use.Im not a pro at typing so i dont know what they are for also.I see one key that has.Prt Scm Sys Rq. on it."what that"Looks like i need a lesson about keyboards."I always tell my husband dont touch them keys"lol.im affraid he will mess up my pc.

I don't use the F keys very often, which are on top of the keyboard, except F1 and F4, they are quite useful.. Rest all of the keys are used quite often.. In all I make full use of almost all the keyboard keys... Maybe that's becoz I know the meaning of all the shortcut keys...

I definately don't use all the keys on my keyboard, especially the function keys. I figure that what I am doing is working ok, so if it isn't broke don't fix it...:}.

Hi, Heather can't say that I use them all I use the main keys, like f1, f2 f3 to f12, no I don't use those keys they are short cut for something, and the number to the left. No I never use any of those, I am going to take another Computer class in the fall. so I can learn how to put codes in, and do a lot more things on the internet. Ok, I just had to come and response. I.e. have a very simple keyboard installed on my computer on my computer it does not have any multimedia keys or any other flashy functions. I like my keyboard being simple because I go a bit hard on my keyboards and specially on Intel and buttons so they generally do not run more than a year so I do not waste a lot of money on multimedia keyboard is because I am not going to use them for a long time instead I want a very good mouse I have a wireless laser mouse and I feel that this is one point where I can spend a good amount without thinking too much. And admittedly this time I got one Logitech keyboard and I have a very good experience with that and from now on I decided to use the same keyboard.

I don't use of them. I wouldn't know how. I am totally self taught on the computer. I do know how to save favourites using the keys, thats about all. My daughter knows most of them.

I am in the same boat whiteheater. There are numerous keys for which I have no understanding of their function. I would be afraid to use them too! Isn't funny how we just get a computer, turn it on and start typing and never fully understand its keys and functions? My teens laugh at my computer ignorance daily. I don't care....

Gee, I counted about 30 and like you I have no idea what they are for. I just got myself a laptop and i'm trying to figure out how to use it with no mouse. I think I feel a crisis about to happen...LOL.

I don't use all of the keys on my keyboard. I have a Multimedia Keyboard and it has 4 additional buttons and some new functions on the F keys , But I don't Use them :)) . In total I counted 17 Keys that I don't use AT ALL

I use them all but some are very rare since I have other ways of pulling up stuff. Web for example, "hah, no thanks, I can take it from here good citizen!" Most other ones I use moderately for example a function key with several of the F keys. Its handy shortcuts, unless your computer was designed by monkeys ;p

well there are only 2 keys on my keyboard that i havent used ever, generally there are about 8 that i wouldnt normally use, but i no wat all of them do and they can have their place every now and again...i guess it just depends wat you use a computer for, in programming you use almost all of the keys to write a program, but not everyone is a programmer or a typist so maybe it would make more sense to have a keyboard made for them and the rest can just have letters, numbers and punctuation on theirs...

I do not use all of the keys and sometimes sticky keys gets stuck on and I use features I do not mean to or did not know existed just by using my regular keys..ahhh...I use a laptop so the keyboard isn't the biggest.

I'm not using about 10 keys
