Does the alarm clock annoy you?

I use alarm clocks whenever I want to wake up early, I'm more used to it than any other person would prefer. I am not bothered by nor annoyed, because that is what they're used for(to remind us and wake us up). Well for the other ways, I believe the sound of the rooster's crow in the morning would come in handy. People mostly from provinces here in my country, still depends on them!;)

Sometimes the alarm clock buzzing really does annoy the crap out of me and actually there was a time when it would scare me (due to my PTSD)...these days though I more often than not am awake before the clock even goes off LOL I actually wonder why I even bother to set it anymore really :-/

I am sharply sensitive to any noise when i sleep.I hate alarms.For me this is too much stress, then more then i sleep not so deeply and awake from nothing. I use more my inside biological clock or organize myself to awake at time.

I am not annoyed by the alarm clock. I just have it to thank for otherwise I would not be able to wake up on time when I need to. In my opinion, the alarm just have to be annoying that one will get out of bed. If it is soothing, one will tend to bask in enjoyment and sleep more and not wake up. lol.

Hi there. Yes there are some mornings, where I would like to sleep in, but I hear that annoying alarm clock, getting louder and louder, I dont get up angry, but i do get up and once up, I shut it right there and then ans start my day... Without it, Id be late for alot of things lol... So I have to get use to it anyway...

Dear LordGregoroftheSith; I think you better synthesize the sound of your alarm clock, towards your likes. At least something which can cheers you up. Me? I like it as my friend and sometime as my very best friend, if not I won't buy it. OK I suggest you to have PARROT because it ALL-IN-ONE, as your pet, friend to talk and alarm clock. And you can ask that parrot to wake up you with very polite way...ha..ha.!!! The most imperative is, you can teach that parrot doing typing for responding to myLot friends' discussions, so your nickname will be very famous because you are the only person who can apply 24/7(24hours)system on myLot. Do you agree?...........

We're lucky in that our alarm clock will play CDs, so we wake up to music. When I was a teenager, I never needed an alarm clock. I used to just wake up at 6 oclock in the morning. Hey, you could always get a cat. My parents get woken by their cats if no one feeds them. 8am at the latest.

oh the beeping noise annoys me, but i wake up and go oh whats that noise lol and then i remember oh i set the alarm... but if i put music on i wake up and think yeh time to get up i just lay here for minute then i end up falling back to sleep

Yes, the alarm clock annoys me, but I don't have much choice. I did have mine set on radio, but I discovered that the music may lull me basck to sleep. So I set it to this awful loud sound, which ensures that I wake up to turn it off. My hubbys alarm makes a ringing sound. As he has to get up earlier than me some mornings, I cdan fortunately take no notice of it & stay asleep.

I think it is supposed to be annoying - that is how it gets you up - you can not just ignore it... it really bugs me when I will be making meals for my son to eat before work and at work and he gets up a little before his alarm goes off - but does not turn it off, so he will be in the shower or something and his alarm will keep sounding. gets me a bit agitated.

I don't think it is an annoying stuff. An alarm clock is a useful tool. What I hate is the work itself:)

I wake up to the sound of my boyfriend's mobile phone alarm. I hate the tone he has set, but neither of us bother to change it =P Another tone would be a much nicer waking call.

I think an alternative is to set an alarm in a Mobile and set a Nice Ringtone so that one does not gets annoyed with the Alarm.

I don't like the alarm clock at all. It's annoying lol!

There are alarm clocks that have beeping sounds instead of music. We have one with the music and one with the beeping sound. I am thankful that there is such a thing as alarm clock because without it, I will never wake up on time to go to work. I will never have a job without it at all. I can't wake up no matter what. Alarm clock does it for me, though.

I like mine as well cause it's a radio alarm clock and I can wake up to music. It's a nice way to start the day.

Alarm clocks are so annoying, but I need it to get up in the morning. I would sleep rather late without it and I do not want to do that. I have to be at work on time so I always use the darn thing!

I use a clock radio, so my alarm goes off, the radio turns on. I usually get awakened to music. They also have "gentle" alarms that have a light that gets increasingly brighter, and nicer sounds, like waves, that get progressively louder so that they wake you slowly, instead of jolting you awake with a buzzer. I hate buzzer alarms, they make me mad, too. not a good way to start the day!

I used to have the usual alarm clock where you can find everywhere and the sound of its alarm is really annoying, makes me want to throw it or submerge it in water everytime it alarms. I don't use those anymore instead I use my mobile phone and it sounds much much better =)

If it is my day off, then the alarm clock is annoying. Other mornings, when I need to get up very early , then I have to thank the alarm clock for helping me and doing me a favor.
