How many mistakes can u make in life,love,friendship,family,pets,jobs...? Is there a big slate in God's office with your name on it under the heading mistakes? Do you get a certain number then your account is cancelled? Then what? Do the people you love have a slate like that in their head that cancels you out after you have messed up too many times?..Or do the stay 'cause the are true friends? What about at work..most of us do not have an unlimited amount of screw ups before we are sent packing. Our pets seem to always forgive our mistakes as long as the food dish keeps a fresh supply. Family? Well you can pick your friends but your relatives are here to stay! What do you think? xoxoxo

Hello raydene,Thanks for your post.I believe no humanbeing on earth is perfect and should have the ability to update his/her knowledge for better realisations so that he/she donot repeat the previous mistake once again. In case of relationships we may get few chances before the account is cancelled, but there are certain jobs which deals with humanbeings life, like a doctor/surgeans one mistake can cost someones life, also any performer on stage(even a celebrity)commits a mistake on a live show infront of thousands of audiences, the performance is permanently recorded with a tag with that celebrities profile/carrer.But the solution is if everyhumanbeing understands his own responsibility towards himself and towards others and try to use much more commonsense in daily life what he/she using now might reduce the amount of mistake.

One of the reasons I live by myself is that I don't seem to get things right a lot where other people are concerned and that includes my family. People seem to like to judge me (badly) and I feel a lot of the time like a misfit. I think I'm ok and that's really all that matters, isn't it? Actually, I think I'm damn fine!!! YAY...lol.

I think as we are not perfect we will all make mistakes. For me if you have truly learned from that mistake, atoned and really try not to do it again then is goes from being a negative action to a positive one. Therefore it gets cancelled in God's big book. As far as humans go we should remember "To err is human, to forgive is divine". I personally do not have any problems forgiving it is the forgetting that causes me problems.

With a true friend - unlimited. After a fight, one of my friends gave me a plaque that said, "A friend is someone who knows all about you, and loves you anyway!" I will always remember that.

I believe in a forgiving God. And Peter asked Jesus,"How many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "Not seven times but seventy-seven times". Matthew 18:21-22 Then Jesus continued with a story on how we need to forgive others just as God has forgiven us.

I hope we're not allowed a certain amount of mistakes, if so I'm pretty much out of luck. I am the King of Mistakes, having made more than any other person in existence. So I guess I'll be the first to get my account cancelled if we have an allotment of mistakes we can make. But I don't think thats how God works. God is a forgiving God, much much much more forgiving than we has humans can ever be. He won't give up on us whether we make one, or in my case, a billion, mistakes. Humans on the other hand, will give up on you after half a mistake, which is sad. I think we should adopt more of a Jesus mentality, realizing that everyone makes mistakes, and not holding that against each other.

My dog always forgives me when no food to be supplied. But I found hard to be forgiven with big mistake in mind. They would complain my mistakes to my relatives...

I've been thinking about this so many times too. Well... forgiveness actually comes with a pure heart. Some people can forgive us numerous times, no matter what we do to her, she will forgive and still loves. My mother is that wonderful person. She loves me no matter what. She always forgives me no matter what I have done. I love her too and I think I should learn her ways on forgiving others. For other relatives, I don't think they are so forgiving like my mother. But I agree that pets are the most wonderful forgiving creature. They always forgive and forget.

I think mistakes that is an honest one is still allowed in the eyes of God. and after that mistakes you have done you learned something and you will never do it again. Just like sin we repent it to God. I think mistakes that can damage the life of the others are not allowable to multiply. That is a mistake that i don't want to commit.

In my opinion, living on earth is alredy a mistake. lol. Personally, I feel we should make as many mistakes as one can, so that one will know what is wrong, where go wrong and why go wrong. If there is no wrong, how to know if there is a right? The sad thing is life does not allow us to make too many mistakes.

Wow that is a really interesting question! I have thought about it a lot and I think that you should probably be allowed as many mistakes as you have to make but their are plenty of interpretations of the word 'mistake'! There are innocent mistakes and the so called mistakes of people who just want to hurt others! xxx

Hi raydene! I guess as long as we live, we will be committing mistakes somehow. Mistakes we did in the past are not assurances that we won't be making mistakes again. I know that we have to learn from them to make us better individuals. And I don't think God has His limits in terms of our mistakes for He understands us but on our part we have to at least make amends and try our best not commit the same ones again. Our God is a Merciful god and Loves as just as much. I guess with regards to people, they could only take as much to our wrongdoings. LOL! Take care and have a nice day!

It would be nice that if we made too manyy screw ups with our family and friends would be as that slate is that God keeps. As soon as we confess the screwups to God that slate is wiped clean. We still have to pay the consequinces for those screwups. Look at the screw ups that David made and God forgave him when he confessed that he screwed up. But he still lost his child as a result of his sin.

God has limitless room for us to make mistakes. People, I am not so sure of. Personally, I allow for lots of repetition with certain kinds of mistakes, with others I just reach the end of my patience and draw back. I do not get mean about it, I just get very quiet. At work, I do not know, I have never been fired. Sometimes, to me, people at work screw up, too much, and it does not get fixed, then I am out of there, tired of it. I find right now the people I am most distant from are family members, actually.

First of all, I don't think God keeps track of the mistakes we make if we are saved and repent. Some people do keep track and may drop a person, not neccessarily for how many but maybe a certain kind. Employers definitely keep count--but if they are good employers they will give you ample warning to straighten up. I've know many people in families that no longer speak to each other. As a Christian I'm commanded to forgive no matter what the mistake is or how often mistakes are made. A lot easier said than done!

No slate! Mistakes are how you learn or should be. People in our lives do have limits as to how much they will tolerate from certain people before they write them off to protect their own emotional well-being. For those that truly love you, I think, the burden of proof lies with you. If you have messed up so much with someone that loves you that they say "Ok enough already!" then it is up to you to regain trust and only time can heal that. It does not mean necessarily that they don't love you but that they are tired of being hurt. My kids I think have the hugest slate of all. I really can't imagine them ever filling it up altho i know it happens. Beyond that it all depends on the bond you have with the person you are dealing with.

My belief We get as many as choose as many as it takes as long as we keep moving forward. I recently hear the famous and wealthy author of the rich dad series say that if he could do more of anything it was make mistakes? It how we learn its how we grow like falling down is part of learning to walk. Blessings

If there is a slate in God's office with a column mistakes then there also should be a column with heading "Intensity of those mistakes". Because mistakes are ok for some extent but they are considered crime or sin after a certain limit. So a person may do a lot of mistakes in his or her life but it should be under the crime level. If someone murders a person and says that I have done it by mistake then it is not at all acceptable.
