In our family, i'm the only girl and usually when your the girl you do the house work like cleaning and washing cause the boys in the house won't just like to do it. They do guys stuff they will say and cleaning the house or washing isn't one of it. Girls, do you think it's fair? hehehe.. anyway, in our family i do the cleaning and i also wash the laundry, sometimes i don't like washing the laundry cause i is just a time consuming work with lots of steps to do. It would just fine if after putting it in the washing machine it's already finished but you still have to dry it or hang it and then after, fold it or iron it. it's really tiring too specially if you have tons of clothes to wash. Now, that i'm married, i am the one who also do our laundry cause my husband work full time, he has a lot of clothes and even if i always wash one loads of clothes everyday, i still don't run out of laundry to wash! can you believe that? :) Anyway, that's why i do laundry almost everyday. hhmm.. how about you, are you the person who's in charge of the laundry? How many times you wash clothes?

Living on my own, I do all the laundry myself, after it is all my clothes, towels, bedding ect that only I have used and got dirty. I dont have any specific was days but I do tend to plan what I am wearing around my washing, ie if I have several dark items in need of a wash but not enough to justify a wash load, then I will make a point in wear dark clothes just to make up a wash load, a bit sad really. Happy wash days.

I do the laundry and I wash usually once or twice. That much and its done. I can do it myself no problem. I've been doing it since age 7 so why do I need someone else to do it? I've picked up a lot of tricks and tips along the way too so I think it was better that I did learn it that early.
Oh and I can do "guy stuff" too like auto maintenance, upkeep, and computer work. The only reason guys say crap like "guy stuff" is because they are too lazy to do anything else and too useless to even have an impact on "girl work" -_-. If your guy (or girl) shovels crap on you and tries to turn you into a servant, turn it back on them immediately or leave the relationship.

Oh Lord I do the laundry, the never ending loads of laundry. I swear, I do about 2 loads a day. See I have two little girls and well those beings never leave the same outfit on in a days time. They have to change at least three times a day. It kills me to do the laundry. It's not that it's a hard job, I have a washer and dryer, it's just endless and everyday. I would love to be able to have day I didn't have to fold clothes and put them away. You know? A day I can just do some light house cleaning then be done and have the day for myself. Oh well, one can dream can't they, LOL.

My sister in law doesn’t like to use the washing machine for her laundry so she prefer to hand wash her own clothes. My hubby and I are the busy and lazy types and we depend a lot on the washing machine. I couldn’t imagine what will happen if our machine is out of service. I think most probably the clothes would be sent to the laundry shop. Both my hubby and I will do the laundry chore and this depends on who is not busy.

I do most of the laundry in our house, but I have a rule...I will do your laundry, but only if you bring your laundry done to the basement and into the laundry room.
I do laundry almost everyday, there are 5 of us, me, my husband and three kids, but I'm not about to carry everyones laundry down, they bring their own hampers down, I wash it, dry it, fold it and put it away, they can bring it down.

My husband does the laundry. I do any handwashing of delicate clothes and sweaters, but he does the main portion of the laundry. We both work, so he can't really say that he can't do housework. (Or he could, but then I'd say that I couldn't, and we'd live in a disaster area.)

I don't do laundry when I'm at home. I'm not sure about the type of washing machine we have at home and how to work it, even more so now since it's brand new, so I avoid it. Someone else does the laundry. However, when I'm at school, we have rather simple push button laundry machines that we use and that's when I do my laundry. I don't mind cleaning and what not, nor do I mind washing clothes when I actually know how to work the machine .

I like the way you said it.."in charge" in that way I may not think that it is not such a boring and tiring chores. I do the laundry also but not all the time because I do work, sometimes hubby does it if he has free time, sometimes I do,If we both have no time and when our hamper begins to overflow, I'll ask someone to do it for us..of course that would mean extra expenses..:)

I do the laundry, but I live alone so its not very much. I usually do it once a week and maybe more if it builds up. I don't mind washing, drying and folding but ironing some things is not my strong point. I guess I could hang them in the closet as soon as they finish drying and then there would not e so many wrinkles but I always have other things to do, lol.

It doesn't matter whether you are a boy or a girl. Both can do that stuff because it is just a simple work. I learn how to wash clothes even without using washing mahines when i was still at high school. A washing machine and a dryer is the simplest way to do the job so anyone can laundry.

My husband and I are both working. Good thing my MIL lives with us and she is the one who takes care of the laundry. She uses the washing machine so that it will not be too tiring for her. Whenever she is not around, one of my husband's niece will take care of the laundry for us. It's really fortunate of us, because I don't want to be coming home from work already tired only to have to do the laundry.

The laundry, just like other chores around our house are shared among family members. We all dirty the clothes, therefore, we all can wash them. The same goes with picking things up around the house. I expect everyone in the house to chip in and do their part in trying to keep things clean. There is nobody who can't help out with the housework, although those who are working might be expected to contribute a bit less of their time.

The most time I do laundry , but also my fiancee is not lazy in this kind of work.He likes to help.I really do not care , who do it, because I knwo what it is to be without washmachine and I really appreciate one I have now. When we were living in Germany we have take our clothes all the time and take it to base, laundry area, what was about 15 miles away from us.It was really annoiny sometimes, becuase my favourite things were never clean, since we went wash once a 3 weeks. Now I really enjoy my own wash maschine and the sound for me it s like heaven.lol

I do the laundry in my house, but since our dryer broke, my mom helps me do it at the laundry mat.

Hi. claire03. My husband washes the clothes for us all. He does it every two to three weeks. I wished that I could wash them myself. I don't mind doing it. In 2007 when we had a washing machine and a dryer in our trailer, I used to wash and dry our clothes. It was fun. I enjoyed putting baking soda into our white clothes so that they can become their whitest. I love smelling clean and fresh laundry. I still think that a guy should do just as much of cleaning as a woman does. What if he may decide to get a place of his own, without his lady staying with him?
