Cats gestation period is 63-65 days (9 weeks), she is close when she will be searching for a dark safe quiet place to have them...usually in a cupbaord or a dark corner..she will waddle and go off her food...do try and maybe keep the other cat away because her first litter she may reject them if interfered with.

All the info you are getting is great but the simplest way to know if she is ready to give birth is that she can not sit down. She walks tries to sit down but then moves, she will repeat this till she lays down to have them. My girldfriend said that she would follow her cat around wondering if she hurt herself then found out she was in labor. Just make her confortable and except some really cute things!

Oh I hope someone here can help you, how lucky are you, I have never seen kittens being born, they seem to go hide at this time, I have seen goats being born, they make it all look so easy....Godd luck with your new family...

Wow, congratulations on your cat having kittens. I don't know much about cats but I am sure you have more than enough answers for your questions now. Congrats again!!!

I'd take her to the vet to get checked out. They can give you a better idea when she's due because you don't know when she got out. While your there, set up an appointment to get her spayed 6 weeks after the expected due date. You might need to keep her seperated for a few days from the other cat, just because she might move the kittens if she feels threatened.
