Ever have a 'bad luck' day?

I feel like today is my bad luck day! I woke up with a headache, my internet was in and out, my tummy was upset, my mom went to the dr's who then freaked her out and scheduled 3 hours worth of testing for next week because she said there was way too much sugar in her urine (she went in for a cough... I'm still trying to figure that one out too!), and then when all goes right and I find my current fave indulgence (Peanut M&M's) right when I bite into one my front tooth breaks and triangle on the inner part about 1/4 of the tooth comes out in crumbles and to make matter worse I call my dentist who tells me it will be $75 for her just to look at it and that she has no idea how much after that... I'm broke so that's a no go so I call another dentist, the only denist in town that does "payment plans" and they closed early today. So I'm stuck not being able to leave my house because now I really look like I belong in Alabama, lol! Plus the edge is all sharp and jaged and is cutting my lip which made dinner suck. I just hope tommorow promises to be 110% better!
What's your bad day story?

Oh my god! What a bad day for you and I hope that it will go well tomorrow. I don't really have too much of a bad luck day, but I remember when my dad went to the hospital two years ago, everything turned bad for me for half a year. Nothing was really right but I don't want to recall them now. Just absolutely no luck in anything. I think it's a stage and it has passed already - thank God! I hope your tooth is alright!

Thanks, hopefully I can get in to see a dentist soon. I'm glad that your bad luck phase has passed, I can understand the type of mood that it can set in one's life.

LOL well at the end I've decided to just laugh at it (with my hand in front of my mouth of course, lol). I tried to get into serveral dentist all of whom wanted way too much money that I don't have or offered credit financing (I have no job and bad credit so fat chance). My regular dentist wants $72 up front then 1/2 of $236 upfront and then the other half in a post marked check. I realized that umm... she's the dumba$$ who "fixed" this same tooth, for that same price, over 2 years ago. She's also the genious with the man hands that effed up my jaw and pulled a molar that didn't hurt until her fat man hands got to it. So I'm just gonna have to suck it up and look all redneck chic for a while.

well bad luck days are really BAD LUCK days and it feels like these days are days which really really is designed or created just to piss you off. well my bad luck days are characterized by a series of unfortunate events which are seemingly deigned for the purpose of annoying me.
your story was really really a bad luck story but dont worry, these days are just like the rain.. they just come and go. whats important is to stay as strong and as true to yourself. goodluck!.

I hate when that happens! Last year was my bad luck year for sure, complete with traumatic experiences, squirrels in the walls, heartbreak, getting fired twice and having an engagement called off oh and getting stiffed by a roomate who ran out of town. I had decided this year would be my good year but I think I'm having to switch that to next year, lol. I hope you year gets better and at least the next one isn't so far off.

Awww. well cheer up, exboyfriends are always better left to somebody else who can later on figure out what makes them an ex instead of a current, while you can focus on yourself and finding someone better suited to you.

I have a TERRIBLE day to tell:
I usually go to school early to attend my 7am class. No here are the SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS that happened to me:
1. While I was walking my way to Math Building in our campus, my sandal strap snapped. Leaving me walking with nothing to step into.
2. I came terribly late in class, with all the sweat i've perspired from trying to walk with broken sandals. (30 mins late I guess?)
3. Just distributed the result for our previous exam.. and I failed Calculus.
4. Had to study for the next class, yet still have to fix my sandal(fortunately i did)
5. walk my way to Engineering building for my "Engineering Science" class. As i was about to submit my "plate", it suddenly (out of nowhere) fell straight down the window, and unto the garbage area directly outside below our room.
6. As I was about to leave, my sandal snapped again!
7. And finally, as I was going down the stairs infront of our building (since it just rained and it's wet), I fell the stairs leaving my white legs full of bruises and scars!!
---- Now can anyone beat that?! hahaha. Not making story here, this are true events in my miserable life! hmpf!!

I never have what I consider a bad day. Everyday above ground is a great day.
Instead of resigning yourself to situations you call "bad luck" that mysteriously happens to you... consider this.
Life is simply providing you with feedback in those areas where you need to make new choices. Use all your experiences to grow.

Great advice, thanks! You're totally right, every experience is one to learn from and often times I forget that.

I've had days like that. For some reason, I only have problems like that - where my tooth breaks - on holidays, when all of the dentists are closed. And the insurance plan I'm on does cover a good portion of the dentist, but only if you go to one of the dentists they list, and I went to one, but she wasn't the best dentist ever (not the worst, though, and not bad enough to actually complain or switch dentists).
When I have a broken tooth (this has happened to me twice), I generally just drink smoothies through a straw.
I have also had days where it seemed like on bad thing happened after another. I hope you have survived the rest of yours and tomorrow is better.

You sound about as lucky as me, lol. I have no isurance right now but I did call a dentist that I used when I did have insurance, and she is my last resort because she has big huge man hands that caused me over a year of pain from one procedure that she did 2 years ago where she had her hands in my mouth of over an hour w/out a break and I've got a tight jaw. Her office said it was $75 for her to take a look only, no thanks. I'll pass on her big hands and just try calling around.

there are so many for me.
I just can't list a single day.
But i must say yours is really bad.
Once I wake up feeling unwell.
Still I had to come to office.
It was raining heavily and roads were flooded.
In office I had so many work related tensions.
And that day while coming to office, one guy kept on disturbing me over SMS.

Man I do not think I can top that. I am sorry to hear you are snaggle toothed.
Friday and Monday's I have hired a driver to take me on errands. She took me one place on Monday and came back to my house and took a three hour nap because she was to sick to drive home. Now on Friday she was to sick to take me to do my errands. My dog had his grooming appointment, I had to reschedule. I needed to pick up my computer but I had to wait until my husband came home from work. I had to take his hearing aid into the place where he got it for repairs, now that will wait until Monday. I needed to fax three medical release forms to get my medial records sent to me, that had to wait till Monday.
I hope she will be better on Monday if not I do not know what I am going to do. I guess I will ask another friend to help out.
I know I can call the local dial a ride but it costs two dollars every trip I go any place. So it will be 6 dollars to do what I have to do and I already pay my driver a lot. I pay her even if she does not come so I cannot afford to shell out any more money on transportation.

Yes I have had those days before. Like ive waken up sick dont feel like going to work or school and when I get to work nothing good happens like I would get caught listing to my cd player while doing carts or some people will yell at me for going to slowly. Stuff like that just one of those days that nothing goes your way and you just cant wait for that day to just end.

My "bad luck" day is much more worse. That morning I need to be at school before 7:00 because of my supervision. The car wouldn't start so I called the taxi. The damn taxi came at 6:45 a.m. When I reach the time clock at school it was 7:15. That same morning I found out that we had a new student in kindergarten. My boss made me work with this new student in one-on-one. During his break I put him in the play area, just when I turn to get me a chair, there he was running out when he bumped so hard into my wooden chair. His first day of school I was the first staff to fill out an accident report. His in the morning session, so that morning I'm working with him with his big bump on his forehead. At 11:00 his bus came to take him home, and at the same time to drop the afternoon session student, which was still my student who's in kinder too. At 2:00, I took my student out to the bus shelter to wait for the bus. She kept jumping and running around, just when I told her to sit down she fell on her back and bumped her head so hard on the concrete which gave her big bump on the back of her head. The same day I fill out an accident report with two different student. Just when I was about to time out for the day, both parents of the two students came to the office. I did talked to both parents, they couldn't believe because it was the first day of school.

Wow that is pretty bad. Kids are top heavy though so bumps on the head are normal at that age where they haven't really balanced out yet and accidents do happen so don't feel bad.

Hello gmakesmoney,
I had a bad luck today too. I woke up early as usual and got ready to work. My one year old son decided he needed his extra sleep and didn't want me to wake him up at his usual hour this morning. As I pitied him, I decided to send him a little bit late to the baby sitter's house. It was raining this morning and due to my 'messy attitude' with umbrella, as always... I got almost wet.
When I was happily waving at my son while reversing my car, I hit another four wheel drive. Nothing happened to the car but mine got the bumper unattached and made a big dragging sound on the road that woke up almost every single neighbor that I have.
I took a cab to my office, the first time after so many years not using public transport and was late. When I reached my office, my senior told me that my another colleague is taking an emergency leave for no emergency reason and I need to replace and do all his work for today. It was a busy morning and I was starving till noon as I didn't have my breakfast.
When I was a bit free in the afternoon, I managed to check my personal e-mail and my husband sent a big e-mail to me asking me to postpone his flight booking for the tenth times. It really made my day....
But, one thing I forget to tell you... I am happy with my 'upside down' day today. An amazing day to remember!
