What has life taught you that you can pass on?

One thing I have learned that I would pass on is to never give up on your dreams. And don't let the bad times make you lose faith that your dreams will come true. They may be just what you need to make your dreams come true. I have been a writer since my early teens. One of my dreams has been to have a book of mine published. But I kept getting rejection after rejection. And then in 2004 I fell off a ladder at work hurting my ankle. The injury put me out of work for a few months. But I used the time off to have my first book "Gifts From God" published. A short time after I had gotten back on my feet I was playing with my granddaughter on the floor and my knee locked. To make a long story short I needed surgery, so time off again. So in 2005 I made use of my time of to publish "Defend God's Word". Don't give up on your dreams!

I have learned that everything happens for a reason. There is no such thing as accident because if something is about to happen then it will definitely does going to. Sometimes you can't do anything about some things but to accept it no matter how hard it is.

Yes, dreams is what shapes our future. We always try to achieve it, to become what we wanted to be. As for me, I also learned of being humble. I always put my feet on the ground and share what I've learned during the course of my life. I don't seek for applause, for me just a simple thank you would do!;)

Its interesting what you say about not giving up your dreams. I wouldn't say I have given up on mine just that I haven't thought of my dreams, the ones I had when I was a kid, in a long time. Now I have different dreams -- mostly to do with my baby son.

Life is tough but not impossible. There are so many things that put us in a position for life's lessons. That is very great that you utilized your time off to create books. I think that is fantastic. Some people victimize themselves because of their circumstances and feel sorry for themselves and some pick up what they can do and continue on. I like to think that I am one of those people who can continue on through adversity.

Something that I've learned, that I would pass on, would be that if you keep trying something and it doesn't work, give it up. I'm not talking about things like a writing career. (If you really like something, you SHOULD keep at it, and you'll probably succeed.) I'm talking about a situation with another person. I've learned that people don't ever really change. They may get a little better or a little worse, but they always keep the same traits. It's just a genetic thing. You can't be what you're not. So what I mean here, is that if you are in a relationship that's not working, even if you keep trying, just give it up or you'll spend the rest of your life miserably. If you have a job that you can't get a handle on, it could be because you don't like it. Give it up and find something that you like. Trying to open a door that doesn't have you're name on it, is pointless and a waste of time.

There cannot a short-cut to hard work. I have to work hard if I have to succeed, this is what I have learnt in my life.
