If your pillow went missing what would you use?

Assume for a minute that it's bedtime and you can't find your pillow? What would you use? Would you grab a little throw pillow from the couch and use that? Or, would you roll up something and stuff it under your head?
Most times I can't sleep without a pillow. I've tried, not very successfully to do so. So, not having a pillow would be out of the question for me. I'd search the entire house just to find it, if it ever went missing.
However, with that being said, if my pillow went on temporary hiatus, then I'd have to find something else. And, most likely, I'd use one of my daughter's stuffed bears as a temporary pillow replacement. So, what would you use, assuming you had no other bed pillows in the house to take it's place?

If my husband was home, I would use his chest. lol That probably wouldn't last that long, but I would try. That's usually the way I go to sleep when he's home anyway, though.
Otherwise, I would use my dog, or go without. My small dog makes a great pillow, until she starts snoring! She's perfectly content to be a pillow, though. My husband frequently uses her AND his pillow for a while. :)

That's cute! My little female cat uses me as her pillow, but I've never tried using her as a pillow. It would be so funny to try though.

That's too funny! More neighborhood feuds have been started that way. Just kidding! I'm sure your neighbor would have no problem with it, providing you gave fair warning what you were going to do before you pounded on their door at three AM demanding to sleep on their arm. Maybe a quick telephone call before hand to assure they would be interested as well. LOL!

This has happened to me before, a couple times. Once I used a bed sheet by just wadding it up. Folding it wouldn't have given me the cushion I want. Another time I didn't have a bed sheet to use, so I just went without. And on nights when I don't have a migraine, that works fine for me.

The migraine issue is a big deal for me too. That's mostly why I can't live without my regular pillow. Cause whenever, I have a really bad migraine, anything pressing against my head on any side is very painful. The sheet idea is pretty good, cause it's much softer than a throw pillow.

I will sleep just like that if I feel so sleepy. But if I am not that tired then I might try to grab something from somewhere. But I read somewhere that having a pillow to sleep is far better for our neck than having nothing.

I would use a few jumpers stacked up as a substitute for a pillow. I just can't sleep from lying down intentionally flat. Although when I am really tired I just happen to fall a sleep no matter what and where I am.

Hello beautyqueen26,
I always use the same pillow whenever I want to sleep. I even bring it with me every where I go *laughs* If it ever happens to me that my favorite pillow went missing, I think I will grab one of my baby's pillows as a replacement. I like the baby's smell so much that I think it could make me sleep better even without my favorite pillow.

Oh, that's too sweet. You always say the nicest things. As a mom, I definitely know what you're talking about when you say the sweet baby smell. When my little one was a baby she smelled so sweet. Maybe that baby smell is just standard issue for all babies. Keeps us moms hooked!

I'm like you, I just can't sleep without a pillow and I also need 2 pillows lol.
But if my pillows went missing, I would roll up something under my head, but I know I would not sleep well. I would use my boyfriend maybe lol

If I cant find mine, or the children took it, I will use a blanket. I fold it like a pillow. I dont sleep good like that though. I have one pillow I like and so does my husband. Were always fighting over who gets to sleep with it. LOL I just wait till hes sleeping and snag it..carfully replace with a diffrent one...ahh now I can sleep..LOL

That's too funny! I did the same thing to my spouse the other night. Poor baby woke up with a crick in his neck cause he had no pillow.

My partner and I go camping quite a lot and I have found the best pillow to use is the stuff sack from my sleeping bag filled with my fleece jumper and other spare clothes. It makes a perfect pillow and keeps my spare clothes handy too.

Oh man I couldn't manage without a pillow. I use 2 to 3 pillows myself which I'm sure is not good for me, if my pillows managed to all get stolen or something as bizarre I would have to roll up a blanket or shawl or some clothes to replace my trusted pillows! x

My kids' old comforters rolled up make a pillow more comfortable than the one I normally use. But, I'm accustomed to it so I wouldn't throw it out for an old comforter, or anything.lol

I was 20. But recently I find that it's getting harder and harder to keep awake to the dawn. If so, I would be so tired that a bad sleep would come consequently. Medically it's harmful for someone not sleeping at night. All the viscera educe toxin from 1 to 6 am. Indeed after working full time, I can hardly sleep at work time even in weekend.

When we were small and even now, we are using regular size pillows, not the big one. Our mother told us that we will hurt our shoulder as it will seperate the head from the shoulder quite high. Which I think is true. So if ever I cant see my pillow Ill just go to bed wihout the pillow. Try it and it will be a nice experience and can relax your head and your shoulder.

Hi!I would start panicking because its the only one i can sleep with because its not too hard and not too soft.I would fold some bathroom big towels up to form a nice rectangle, they are nice and fluffy. The cushions in the house are square and hard like a rock.Id rather sleep on the bed without anything than use those, lol:)

I guess I would just use my husband as a pillow. I have two pillows on my bed and hubby has two on his side also. I really like mine though, I can tell right away if they get mixed up.

hi beautyqueen... i don't really care if my pillow goes missing as i can still sleep without it... but if my bolster goes missing, then it will be a big problem for me... i can't sleep without a bolster... so it is a must... i need to hug something before i can go to sleep... and i get so used to my bolster already that i can't even change it to another one... i can still sleep without a pillow... but not without a bolster... :-)

i will use a spare blanket or just my hands wrap around my head. although i am not much comfortable if my pillow is out because its harder for me to sleep if its missing. when i go to sleep usually i need my pillow, and a blanket.i also need to stretch my body for relaxation.this is very important for me especially if i sleep with a relatives house or a friend house. its really easy for me to get lseep in your own old room.

My husband would freely let me use his pillow. If this were not an option I would use one of my super soft blankets. I must sleep with at least 2 or 3 pillows every night though, so that would be a rough night!
