Is myLot safe?

Well mylot states in the guidelines we are not to give out our information on here. Also those with multiple accounts when found are banned from here. So mylot seems to be doing everything in their abilities to keep this site safe. All that is left is personal responsibility on our parts. I don't give out my real full name nor where I live. I don't post my kids pics, (ok the one I have they have so much make up on it doesn't look like them) and I don't get so personal with anyone that they could track me down. So I feel safe

Hi there, regarding on the issue of it this site is safe is totally depends on the people that using this site. It is really up to you if you are not going to be careful on trusting anyone here, specially if you dont know them personally. For me, there's nothing wrong if we talk to many people here and be friends with them as long as we know our limitations. Perhaps, the incident that happened in a 16yrs old in mumbai is because of lack of guidance from adult. We should understand that there's a lot of type of people here in the internet and so we should not allow our kids to use the internet for more often specially for joining with adult sites, or even guide them on whatever they are doing in the internet. Yes i know the incident and others too have added up on orkut but i personally feel that mylot is a very safe site. I have been here for quite some time now and have never experienced any such discussions or attempts by any member of this group.

Just like most online things there are certain things you really shouldn't do on mylot, like revealing addresses or phone numbers.
