Move to my part of New York. It's way too cold for mosquitoes for a good part of the year.

As per wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito)"Mosquitoes are believed to have evolved around 170 million years ago during the Jurassic era (206–135 million years ago) with the earliest known fossils from the Cretaceous era (144–65 million years ago). They evolved in the land mass that is now South America, spreading initially to the northern continent Laurasia and re-entering the tropics from the north. Ancestral mosquitoes were about three times the size of the extant species and they are a sister group to the Chaoboridae (biting midges).
Mosquitoes are principally nectar feeders with only the females requiring a meal of blood, except for the Toxorhynchites, which never drinks blood.......
Now how can one destroy (eliminate) a creture that even major catastorphies and nature has not been able to? We'd probably end up destroying ouselves first.
What you could do is take up moquito prevention measures on a micro level, such as not allowing water to stagneate, etc., maybe they'll become scarce in your area.
All the best!
