I Am Not A Loser!!! So Ticked Off!

Okay right off the bat I'm venting here. As you know I started a discussion about Yuwie and how I thought it was crap. Now here me out....I was in no way was expecting to be rolling in the dough, or to be expecting to earn a small fortune with Yuwie, but I sure as he!! thought I'd be earning more than I did. I earn far more here at MyLot and with my published articles at Associated Content. I admit I joined up with Yuwie since as I saw it, anyway I can earn a little extra money is great by me...I only get $710 a month SSI Disability benefits, which is peanuts to live on--I'm sometimes hanging by a thread trying to manage my budget. I don't plan to be disabled the rest of my life and am working on overcoming my disability as many of you know from my previous discussions. And yes, while Yuwie is a nice "socializing" place and hang out with my friends, many from MyLot also, I did see it as a means to earn some very badly needed extra money. Well now I'm being attacked by a few, and have openly called me lazy...LAZY??? From the moment I get up until I go to bed, I'm actively doing something...The only time out I take time out for myself is to stop awhile to eat...I don't watch TV or waste time with trivial things--I'm either writing articles for Associated Content, writing into one of my novels, scanning and digitizing my photo collection, trying to build a photo business to sell my work on-line....and I'm trying to do this all each and everyday...Then the person has the nerve to call me lazy?? I have days I'm so tired as I'm suffering from burnout!! And I'm burnt out right now. Then I'm outwardly being called loser...How friggin' dare this person call me a loser...I AM NOT A LOSER! If this person knew me at all, the way many of my friends do here, he would know I've triumphed over many former battles and won...So how dare he! Like I said I'm just venting here, but I really had to get this off my chest. I'm just so pi$$ed off.

Your friends know you are not LAZY by any means, you do more than me I am not disabled by any means. I supposed I could go out there and get a job in the legal field again, but I feel blessed that I am with the person that I am with that I don't need to do that, am I lazy, hell no! I am fortunate that he allows me to try and get my eBay business going. Blow them off Melanie, you are bigger than letting some loser bring you down, you have gone and accomplished so much, they are the loser that feels they need to put you down only to bring themselves up. Be well, my friend!

Melanie, at one point you said you were making pretty good earnings from CashCrate, did it not pan out for you? I have done very well on there and have gotten some wonderful offers at very good prices, last month I made over $40 for only a few days and in 2 days on there I am up to $15. Just curious and looking out for my friend's earnings Take care

I just don't think insulting people is the way to go in a forum, I am afraid I would have to be getting a fair bit myself for giving the amount of information alone that they ask, I still say it looks like a cheap dating site anyway....all I could see was very attractive girls with the words meet people in your area, its a dating site coming through the back door....I don't think any site can be professional like Mylot...I don't think you are a loser, I thought it was good of you to share your experience with everyone...

I saw the discussion about yuwie and people complaining- I wasn't impressed with it- I did not respond- This is a forum and people have the right to post what they want- so if you wanted to post that you were disappointed- that is fine - I thought it was poor taste for another post- belittling the people who thought negatively- They are the losers!

No- I agree with you- I read your first discussion saying how much you made and what a joke the site is- I think it is fine to post- I'm glad because I was thinking about joining- but won't now- I was mad at the person who posted the crap about you- or at least I thought it was about you- they are the losers!

Hey my friend - I read the discussion you are talking about, and please don't get upset about it, or take it to heart. Of course you are not a loser - you are an intelligent, well-educated, artistic and talented woman with a big, caring heart, and a lot of love to give, and I am proud to call you my friend. I know the kind of people who have attacked you in that discussion, and let's say they are the kind of people I try to ignore on myLot and in "real life". Narrow and money-obsessed, with no natural or original talent - except to boast and gloat about how much money they can make. Well - excuse me - maybe this is the snobbish English part of me talking - but I think that kind of constant money-grabbing talk is a little - well - vulgar! There is far more to life than money and making money - there is integrity and honesty. There is loving animals, and nature, and the beauty of the world around us. There is looking at the bigger picture and developing more in yourself than just the ability to make a few £, nice though those extra £ may be. So, in short, and to use a very British word - there is class and there is the opposite, and believe me my friend, in my view, you have an abundance of class and they do not! So please don't waste another moment thinking about them - they are not worth your time or effort.

I love your response because I think it touches on one of the many differences between British and American attitudes. Unfortunately I have to spend a fair amount of time online dealing with the type of people you refer to and I often find it difficult not to reprimand them for being so crass and vulgar (in a very British tone of course!) I guess I was just brought up to believe it's bad manners to talk about how much money you have. I can hear my grandmother now telling me it showed "a lack of breeding" lol!

LOL - well then, I take my hat off to you - because I would not be able to put up with those people as well as you evidently do! And - I'm not sure it's just a British v American thing, - perhaps more a Eurppean v American thing, as I have good friends in France and Spain who have a similar reaction to the talking about momey thing! The French think it's so vulgar and just never talk about stuff like that! And as for your Grandmother - mine said the exact same thing too- and they were right! You can give a person momny but you can't give them class - that comes with breeding not with the pennies in your pocket!!! Have a good weekend!

The way I was raised, it is definitely vulgar to be trying to make money, or sell things to people all the time. By the way, I am American, but old world values crept into my upbringing. Every once in awhile, I have to make the effort to get word out on something that I am doing (a bit of writing, the latest lodge membership drive) and I find that it takes a real effort from me to accomplish even a little bit; plus I feel dirty afterwards, lots of showers end up being taken when I have to wh*** myself.

I know you're not a loser, Pye. I am also on SSDI, but I am permanently disabled and I also have all the benefit of a hubby w/income. Have you ever heard of Etsy.com? It is a site to sell and buy handmade goods. It has been a savior of many a disabled woman when the bills were due. Besides, it can be a spiritual experience to create something imbued with your style and then get it sold to someone who'll enjoy it. I hope you'll consider being an Etsy seller. It beats most places by a mile when it comes to supplementing SSDI. Heaven forfend that we should get a check from SS we could actually live from, eh?

LOL pyewacket - they're calling you a loser because by criticising Yuwie you are potentially putting people off from joining it and that doesn't suit their purpose of getting zillions of referrals. I'm on Yuwie as well. I joined it because some of my myLot friends are there and I quite like it. The money is not an issue for me - if I want to earn money I don't use social networking sites to do it because they don't pay enough. For the average person with no Internet Marketing experience Yuwie is not (and never will be) an "earner". Unless you can get significant numbers of referrals (and I'm talking more than just your friends and family) there's no way you will make anything like $10 a month on Yuwie. MyLot doesn't pay much but it's a better prospect for people who just want to hang out discussing stuff with others and get paid for doing so. Don't let people get to you though. I've been involved in making money online for a few years now and that's just how some marketers are .. they don't want facts getting in the way when they're trying to get people to join something!

Pye, I agree with you that you are not a loser, but if 'Y' isn't working for the vast majority (with 1 or 2 exceptions), then it could get changed for the better, I've suggested that the percentages get changed so that we get paid more for our own efforts, and less from our downline, in the long run everybody should benefit from that, because what people expect in a paying site is to get paid - sometime, and I would think at least once per year would be reasonable on a site where minimum pay out is $50. Either that or the site is designed to be a rip-off where no one will ever earn enough to get paid.(with the few obvious exceptions), but I would imagine that 'Y' guy actually wants the site to be a success. I've sent a message with suggestions for changing the payouts, if others did the same then it could happen. For every person who can get a massive downline, there has to be thousands who have little or none. If people see they have no chance of getting paid they get disillusioned and leave, then those with the massive downline lose it all. This is not MySpace or BeBo, People are being attracted here because they are told they WILL make money here, and money to me is not 12 cents a month. (I can make that on MyLot every day without too much trouble).

I think in some ways, Yuwie is self-defeating itself by having such a high minimum payout...that is going to discourage a lot of people...If it were set at $10 minimum payout that would be better--I'm glad you wrote them asking about that...did they respond yet??

As far as I know MyLot is a place to express opinions on different subjects, if one doesn't like a certain program they are perfectly entitled to expressing their dislikes about it. Name calling is uncalled for and a bit childish I believe. Some people have the time to waste some don't and other's need to understand that. Your close friends, Pye, know that you aren't a loser or are far from being "lazy". For someone to say such without truly knowing a person, ticks me off. I dislike those that judge other's based off of only a few mere words said online. In my opinion, Yuwie is a waste of time, especially since I no longer have the time to promote and get referrals for these programs that I am now apart of, since my business takes top priority over anything else, besides family and friends. If someone has a problem with me calling Yuwie as such, well that's their problem, I really don't care, nor do I come online to fight with anyone. I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this my friend. Some are just so sure about a program that they'll defend it with everything they have unless proven otherwise. Maybe Yuwie does have potential in it, but until it has proven itself otherwise, than my thoughts of it, will be of a low stature. Keep expressing yourself how you feel you should, don't let them detour you. *hugs*

You're welcome! :) There was a time where I did promote all these programs, mostly through free programs, but at the same time I wasted a lot of money as well. To me the payback is not worth all that I had put into these programs. I still heavily promote MyLot though, since I have gotten paid several times by them now. But these days programs really have to prove they are worth the time and effort, before I promote them. Though one can't see it, since I make more money selling my products offline than I do online. My business is more profitable for me, so since I have a family to take care of, of course my business is gonna see more of time put into it, than anything else.

When I saw the setup I realized that I wasn't going to making payout there. I earn more in one day on Helium than I did on Yuwie for the entire month. But then again, I wasn't there for a whole lot of time either--for some reason, I think my regular writing and my college homework is more important. I would never call you lazy. Crazy, maybe. But not lazy. After all, I have seen several of your photos--you herd cats, that is hard work. I pull out my camera and the cats promptly decide it is time to get up and move. (I think that they do not want me to be pimping their photos on the internet; it is my job to earn their cat food, not theirs--or at least that is what I think they are trying to tell me). Yeah, we can all feel your fried crispiness from here. I would tell you to get some rest, but you are stubborn--you won't listen to me. A day off is something that you can't afford, and I am too lazy to tell you the story about the two woodcutters. Go find someone to give you a hug. Then back to the salt mine. LOL.

Hiya Pyewacket, dear friend. This should never have happened really. And you are the very last person I will ever call a looser I did join this program Juwie and left it by that as I didn't have a good feeling about the program. The reality is that i hate recruiting people, and no matter if a programis free or not - i am just no good at it and cannot work with. You were right to express your feelings about the earnings, and all the names you were called were so undeserved, and childish, that I cannot imagine this has really happened. Just try to shove the story away from your thinking, and try to forget it all, will you please? It's not worth it a minute from your valuable time (((my dear friend))) - hugz to you!

I think most Yuwie members (especially those who joined from Mylot) will be disapointed with the amount earned. I got 11c from my own efforts (and 1c from my downline) BUT those on my upline got 90c from me. I noticed one person being pleased to get over $26, however if all those in his downline are upset by the little they earned then a lot of them are just going to leave. There has to be a better balance between what you can earn for your own efforts and what you earn from your downline (and also what your upline earns from your efforts). I think the biggest percentage should go to the person who actually does the earning for themselves, with a smaller bonus from your downline. You also have to remember that for every person who gets a large number in their downline, there will be very many who have little or none.

It's totally unfair for someone to call you names simply because you disagree about a program. myLot is a community and as such we need to learn to effin be nice, lol. You are entitled to you opinion of any program and just like with everything in life, I really don't think it's going to work for everyone. It may work for some people, it's working for me and I was surprised by my earnings as I wasn't expecting more than 15 cents and ended up with over $7. But there are tons of other programs that seem to work for everyone and their grandma and yet I make squat using them. Instead of insulting each other people really need to learn that differences are what make life interesting and that not every shoe fits every foot.
