The scariest movie i have seen so far is The Exorcist (The First part). The remaining parts were all crap and not scary at all i feel.

I think the best and scariest is The Exorcist. I love that movie but it gets scary in some parts. I also think The Hills Have Eyes is really scary and a bit gorey.

I don't know why, but watching The Exorcist still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end lol. I think a lot of the ones that claim to be based on a true story, like The Exorcism of Emily Rose, to me those tend to be scary. Maybe because it is possibly real? Or, maybe it's because it's dealing with the devil? I don't know.... I love a lot of the old time movies, think it was The Haunting-was originally made back in the 50's or 60's, and remade a few years ago. The original was so much more scarier, because you never saw the ghosts like you did in the remake, it made it more psychological.

I would probably say that among all the movies I've seen so far, I could perhaps consider Lost Highway as one of the scariest movies I've ever viewed. If I were to consider the entirety of the film, though, I would not really say that every singular frame or scene would send tingling chills up your spine, especially since, to my mind, it's basically more like a suspenseful psychological thriller. What truly gave me goosebumps, however, was the extremely freaky scene where the voyeur or the weird person sending the perplexing videotapes (records of what happened inside the house of the main character) to the main character came face to face with him in a party, and told the main character to make a telephone call to his house while they were still at the party--facing each other--somewhere else; eerily, the voyeur was the same exact person who answered the main character's phone call at the latter's house. It's absolutely mind-blowing! If you haven't watched the film yet, khazeemee, try watching it, if you could, and tell me what you think of it.

The horror movie that stuck to me most has to be Phantasam. I seen it years ago and it stuck in my head.
