Long life or Good life?

I've often wondered if would rather have a long life, or a shorter one but better. Sometimes i'd rather want a longer life, because it feels a bit bad to assume that life will go on while i am dead already. But others i convince myself that i prefer a happy and complete life, even if it's not super long, that fullfils my expectations.
In the end, I prefer a good life than a long life, though of course i'd like to have both together hehehe.
What would you prefer? a good or a long life?

I'd prefer both if possible too, but it really doesn't matter whether I live longer or die young coz life truly is all about challenges we have to face each day and as for me, I would love to have a longer life yet a good one as well :-)...sounds strange isn't it?

umm, nope, not that strange, silly lol. I think it sounds reasonable. As long as you're alive you will always have the chance to make an effort to make your life better, so hope will still be there, isn't that what you mean?

I too would prefer a good life rather than a long life. A good long life would be ideal but let's get real. Nothing is ideal in life.

I would want a good life and I constantly remind myself to live a good life because life is short. I don't want a long life if it's not good because it's just wasting away. I would love to live it to the fullest and have regrets and indeed I am trying to work on it, but it's so hard *laughs*.

I much to prefer have both. If I have a long life, I will work hard to buid up better financial for my family. I will find the other way to work out for make life better and better. So with your work hard the payback is good life. Or else just have a good life than a long life

Why would I want to live a long life if it wasn't a happy one? If I lived a miserable life I'd want it to end as soon as possible. If I lived a short life but it was a happy one, I would have lived a life of quality, and no matter the length it would have been worthit/

I once read something that I loved. I wish I could remember it properly, but it was something along the lines of:
A wasted life is strolling gently down the road until you reach your grave and gently climbing in.
A fulfilled life is screaming down that road on a motorcycle at 140 miles per hour and skidding sideways into your grave shouting "F**k me, What a ride!"

Well probably like you I guess - a long one AND a good, fulfilled one too. To be honest I have had a pretty good innings so far - loads of memories, travel, and experiences, - and I count myself blessed for that. The one thing I fear above all others is lingering into a long, "half-life", with pain, sufferiong, and no dignity - living "like a vegetable" with no contol over my body. I would rather die than end my days like that.

count me in to good life. I don't want to live longer and yet misersble. Ofcourse i'd rather live short but fulfilled and happy with my family and friends. in fact, i don't want to see myself going old, wrinkled and bed ridden. I would kill myself then. hehe. ; )

nooooo don't talk about killing yourself, that is all bad. It's clear that having a miserable life is sometimes not really worth living, but it's up to us to fight to make it better.

Can't i wish for both?:)
I really think that what i want in life is hapiness and the ability to really by happy and appreciate all things.
I think that for me i will first go on the good life and then on the long one.
I also believe that good life has a direct connection to long life.

well having both is what we all want, right? But i agree with you in something: in theory it's better to have a good life rather than a bad long life...but life must be long enough so that we gather as many experiences and feelings etc as necessary to be able to consider that our live has been good enough.

From ma Point of view its better to live a life full of love n mercy no matter its short or its ling but if life is short n is good than its better than long life but if life is long n full of harships so short life is better than that .
My personal experience says a short life is good its better to lead a short life full of love n happiness .

I would prefered Long life, when you live long, you will carry your children's children even if you are poor you might be blessed to have children that will make you live a good and better life. when i lost my daddy i was yet somebody, if my dad had lived till now he would have been living a good life. he was poor but God has blessed me beyond measure.

From ma point of view if short life is good n full of love n all than its better to go on with it but if life is long n full of hardships than its better to die before facing them
Short life is good a life which is full of love n happines its good no matter its short but u live a life of ur own no worries no hardships .
My personal experience says that a short life is far better than a long life so better lead a life of love.

This will be a perfect situation to have both good and long life but it normalyy happen 10 out of 100. life we can't decide when to die but we can make life better for ourselves.
what i think we can play our part while praying to God to do that for us.
i'd definitely choose both good and long life if i've got that choice to make.
