Could WWE be any more disappointing with this "son" angle?

This could be a spoiler for those who didn't see Raw so stop and go back if you didn't see yet and care about who Vince's "son" is.
**********
I am completely disappointed in the DUMB choice for Vince's son. It was supposed to be Kennedy as we know but he is suspended apparently due to the online drug thing and so we got a lame, ridiculous let down of a conclusion.
Sheesh. I have been a fan for many years and worked in the business for 10 and STILL get sucked into these dumb storylines. What do YOU think of the "son"?
See pic below to see who it is.

Ha ha, well, My first thought was that is so funny, and I actually did laugh, so if that's what they were looking for then they got it.
I was supposed to see Raw today, and I didn't mean to read this discussion, but my eyes went to the attached picture and I immediately knew it was the little B@stard. I actually didn't think of him because I had forgotten that Finlay was drafted to Raw, was he? I don't even remember.
I think it's a son befitting Vince. Ha ha, what a twist. But you gotta give them credit for throwing everyone off like that. Even in the poll on the site, most people had voted for Triple H or Kennedy, but that was too obvious, I guess that's why this bugs you more, since you had other expectations and predictions.
Well, I'm still a fan, they can't shake me off with nothing, ha ha.

I didn't have expectations because I knew the original guy, Kennedy, was unable to do it due to his suspension and his name in the magazine as a steroid buyer. Once I knew the original plan was scrapped, I hoped for someone who would be fun over the next couple months. I mean the midget could be a "haha" funny goofy thing but I prefer angles where real wrestlers drive Vince out of him mind. I would have preferred Eugene but he was fired too.
WWE is going through a heck of a lot of changes and they always let me down with great build ups and silly endings. But whatever. I still watch and that is all that matters to them.
I know they want top drop this angle so they will probably just have the midget drive him crazy for a while and drop the whole thing.

Yeah, I'm confused too between who got drafted where, I didn't see that show, so I don't remember.
When it comes to the new mcmahon, I can see some light there, if they play it like "mini Me" in Austin Powers and have the mini mchmahon dress like the original mcmahon and walk like him and be his number 2 man, then that would be real fun and interesting.
I think we need some silliness back, in WWE. With the whole Cena and Randy thing gone all serious and personal, a good half of DX missing in action and Edge not around, I guess they can provide the silly factor which I think is as important as all the other stuff in WWE.
Triple H is still doing a really good job, and then again, if it hadn't been Hornswaggle, then we wouldn't have seen Triple H laugh like that, that was so awesome. He's so hot, even in clothes. And it was a real fun scene when he was laughing like that and when hornswaggle hugged mcmahon around the leg, that got me laughing too.
As you said, we still keep watching it anyway, so we might as well enjoy it.
Oh, my God, I think I'm secretly a Mcmahon fan, ewwww, ah, well, there it is, ha ha.

Well they did the whole musical chairs bit right. No one noticed LB under the ring, so no one really suspected it (I started to wonder when I saw other people from Smackdown leaving during that whole event).
I think Findlay is still on Smackdown along with LB. Kennedy was the one drafted to Raw (now he's on suspension).
Its getting really dry nowadays in the WWE.

I like figure skating but tennis and golf both bore me.
As for WWE, there were so many possibilities but they are trying to get out of this storyline and I suppose this was the best way too do it.

Now this is the worst and really the dumbest storyline I have ever heard, well I guess they'll soon drop it as noone would really buy this $h*t!;)
Hornswoggle, from the very first time i learned that he became a cruiserweight champ, I felt my stomache turn. Well, let's expect more worse stories to come, besides it's the McMahon's family that really enjoys this kind of "entertainment" as they say!LoL

Yep, they'll do everything for the sake of money and their business. I really sympathize those very few who lost their jobs, because I know of the too much "politicking" they do inside.
I don't think that these people (Eugene, Cryme Tyme and the rest) really deserves to be fired, I guess they just don;t have anyone to back them up like what "Triple H" has!LoL

Yep, really scraping the barrel here. I don't care for him as cruiser champ, but the son idea is worth a few chuckles. I still think they coulda done better than this. I did like the musical chairs/poetry chairs like elimination they did, got a few snickers at that.

The build up, as always, was better than the conclusion and that is a big problem with WWE. They are very good at building things up but very bad at delivering. That is why fans feel so let down. I enjoyed the show and the suspense but the end... Ugh.
They could have done a Triple H thing (since Kennedy was out of the picture) and revealed in a couple of months that it was all a joke. It would have led to a lot of uncomfortable moments.
Lots of others would have led to fun things and it could have all ended with the whole thing being a joke by the family or whatever.
Oh well...at least it wasn't Kane and Katie Vick (You probably don't remember that one. It was BAD!).

They have a Katie Vick award every year now for the worst storyline of the year. This year has been a train wreck of storylines and we're not even near the end of the year.

I think it was kinda cool, to tell ya the truth. The look on McMahons face was kinda funny. Though since, Kennedy was gone, I still say it would have made a better conclusion to have picked Triple H, I mean it would have worked alot better, but what can you do.
I guess they figured that Vince having a little person as a son, would be a better hit then Having his daughters ex husband as his son.... lol I still say that would have made a better storyline twist ahwell...

Oh well. It was a fun build up and WWE is having a heck of time switching things around because of the testing and the steroid expose etc. I guess they took an easy way out to avoid any potential issue of the guy ending up on some secret steroid list or something.
Triple H wouldn't since he is considered management and they aren't tested. But that would have been a little creepy. Fun but creepy. Then again, Vince is creepy and likes those creepy storylines.

I love Hornswaggle but this is an assinine choice I feel.
I miss the midget wrestlers from many moons ago though.
I think Vince might be trying to push this storyline along
for the draw of getting fnas interested in having more midgets
in the wrestling business once again.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I know that they want to end this storyline and this is a good way to get out of naming anyone and sticking someone with the McMahon name when the storyline is over. It makes sense in a way but the build up was good and I wish it had been someone cool like HBK. Even if it was just for a couple months then revealed it was just a big joke or whatever.
No big surprises in WWE these days. :(

i actually think it was kind of funny. how much more embarrassing could it be for vince? I didn't know it was supposed to be kennedy. i think they will take the storyline to the paternity test that will say that it really isn't his son.

i am disappointed as well as the turn out for Vince's illegitimate son. I am hoping that it is Kennedy or Triple H. It would be fun to have triple H as the son after what vince had done to him. Now that they had revealed the "real" son of vince, it is still embarassing for him, isn't it?

I suppose. He's all macho and stuff and now he has a little midget for a son but if you think about it, it's kind of an insult to dwarfs and midgets for Vince to be embarrassed to have fathered one. But then again, WWE is an equal opportunity offender.
I think they'll do some comedy stuff then it'll fade away.

I don't see how a let down angle will make WWE popular but it has enough viewers who are used to this that they won't suffer much I am sure.
They will probably play it up for comedy then drop it because the original idea was to have it be Ken Kennedy in his hometown but that all changed.

hi wotpaffy im shocked with this news. i really think mcmahon is really crzay everytime i watch wrestling he plans unimaginable, stup, and crazy ideas even an illegitimate son is worth trying. yes i know that controversy creates cash but when it goes far it becomes already obvious and no longer entertaining. i think its really a wrong decision for mcmahon this time. he sucks anyway.

He kind of does suck.
I guess when his original plan fell through, he had to do something to end the storyline and not put any star in the position of the push Kennedy was going to get so they went with the least worthy of any kind of push (and one who will be easily forgotten when it is over).
I bet the midget will end up fired for real in the end because he really has nowhere to go now that he is in this storyline.
It will be interesting to see where they go - or don't go - with it.

And you thought it was bad when I said The Miz. Yeah they got screwed by having everyone know it was Mr Kennedy to start with and had to change it but, damn this sucks. I hope they drop the storyline quickly now instead of playing this out.
I will say that there is little worry of the "son" jumping ship and using the name at another company.

Yeah even the Miz would have been better. Sheesh. But it is true, the little guy won't be hopping anywhere and taking the McMahon name with him.
Oh well, I wanted it to be HBK. You know me, a dreamer. Even Triple H would have been fun for a little while until they revealed it was just a ruse to drive Vince nuts.
This was just blahhhhhhhhhhhh.

I liked Stevie too. Poor guy is just being totally wasted.
Speaking of which, how about RVD returning to be the son? Haha, I would have enjoyed that one.

I was so disappointed with this outcome. An angle that had the potential to give someones career a boost was wasted. While I find Hornswoggle's feud with Jamie Noble milding entertaining, the WWE continues to kill the cruiserweight division with a joke of a champion. Anyone back to this sham of a storyline, if this had been desgned as a push for Kennedy and he let them down, why did they not just push someone else? Why not give to someone like Shelton Benjamin? This guy has the skills and Vince could have been his mouthpiece. Just a total waste in my opinion. Very very disappointing.

I know, I hate that I can't edit posts and I always make typos and sound like an idiot right after I hit post comment. lol. Not that YOU sounded like an idiot!!
Anyway, I agree. This was an opportunity for someone to get a little rub from being in a McMahon storyline. They need new stars. Why not Shelton? He's a great wrestler. Why not CM Punk? He's the future. There were many choices for a rub and then it could have been written off as a joke or mistake.
I think WWE is so afraid of who's going to fail the tests and who's going to be exposed that they don't want to commit to anyone at this point.

I am *sucked* into this storyline. While I don't watch that often anymore my neighbor and her son keep me updated on this storyline. I have to say, it is a *catchy*, but dumb senerio.

I was dissaponted at first to when they annouced his son was hornswaggle and not mr kenedy. But I find it to be pretty entertaining to be honest I dont mind this storyline as much now and see they can drag hornswaggle for another month or two then make mr kenedy become his son when he comes back from his suspension which will be in a few weeks.

You know the worse part about all of this is once Vince is done with the whole "He is my son" storyline, Hornswaggle is probably out of a job. It's not like they can really go back to having him go back to Finlay's sidekick now.
It kind of reminds me of Tenacious Z (Zach Gowen, the young one legged wrestler on Smackdown.) Once Vince got to beat a one legged man in an "butt kicking contest", he was let go as well.
