The only diet I used to believe in was a Balances Diet until I tried Dr. Atkins Age -Defying Diet. I listed to his tapes , read his books and concluded that his expertise in nutrition and cardiology was valuable. People keep reading the old copy of his diet instead of the revised versions. There is also an Atkins website. It worked for me. It seems that you need to include other things that you enjoy in your life besides food, nothing dangerous. What do you like to do? Another thing you could do is throw out all the bad foods like candy and softdrink, cake and over processed foods. Eat small amounts of food, in more (6)tiny meals every 2-3 hours instead of 4 large meals. Drink a glass of water or two before each meal, lots of fiber like flax seed, whole grains, berries, protein: beans, peas, lean meats and poultry. These keep you full longer. Do exercise or a sport of your choice and walk with a friend or alone. A walking buddy takes your mind off the stress. Please stop stressing about your weight. Stress releases cortisols that prevent the fat from from burning. If you look for a job that you enjoy that would relieve stress much better than eating. Green teas are excellent and cinnamon too increase the metabolic rate. I know you can do it. Just take your time and don't be hard on yourself. Fit into that dress you love but don't weigh often.
