Last night I made Spaghetti and Meatballs...mmmmmmm! I don't know why but I love meatballs. I just take hamburger add some seasonings and cilantro and roll them up into balls. I bake them in the oven and then when their done I lay them in my George Forman and get all the extra grease out of them...and theres quite a bit. They are so good.
I heard of making them in a crockpot with grape jelly I think but never tried it. Do you like them? How do you make them?

Here you go ...
Form small meatballs, brown in ¼ cup shortening. Remove meatballs. Heat chili sauce and jelly untill blended together. Return meatballs to the pan and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Makes about 50 meatballs.
• Mix 1 lb. ground beef with:
• ½ cup dry bread crumbs
• 1/3 cup minced onions
• ¼ cup milk
• 1 tbsp.parsley
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1/8 tsp. pepper
• ½ tsp. Worcesterchire sauce
• Have ready : 1 - 12 oz bottle chili sauce
• 1 ½ cups grape jelly

I'm not too big on meatballs usually. Though the sounds of cilantro in them sounds really good, because I really like cilantro. I have had meat balls made with the grape jelly and they are also good. I think what it is I really don't like the meat balls with a lot of tomato sauce.

I'm not a real big lover of meatballs. I will eat them every once in a while. I've never made them before though.

I love meatballs myself, twoey, but I have not made them for quite some time. My aunt used to make very good ones. I believe the last time I had them my daughter made some and brought them over. I don't have a specific recipe for making meatballs, but I'm always open to suggestions. I used to watch a lot of cooking shows where they made really good ones.

I love meatballs! I don't make them often but I love eating them, lol! I use a half mixture of ground beef and pork, bread crumbs and some seasonings roll them up and bake them. Then I add them to my sauce and eat to my hearts content..I try to make a few extra and freeze them for another meal, it works great when I am tired just pop them out and heat and serve!

I like them with sweet and sour sauce. Just add sweet and sour sauce to them after they are cooked and put in crockpot or oven. I have never tried the grape jelly either but I have heard of it.

I am not a meat eater because I hate the thought of animals being slaughtered, but I can remember when I lived in my flat the neighbour next door used to make meatballs a lot and the smell of them cooking with the onions when unbearable, as I was brought up on mwat and loved the taste, oh yes I can still smell them.

I love meatballs. More often than not, I buy the frozen kind, but now that I'm home full time with my son, I think I might start actually making them myself more often! In fact, after reading this discussion, I just asked my husband to grab some rolls since he needed to drop by the commissary after work anyway. I think we will be having meatball subs tomorrow. That's the way we usually eat them.
My husband has his own spaghetti sauce recipe he uses. It has meat in it, but not made into balls. It simmers for several hours, so I'm sure meatballs would fall apart in it anyway.

Hey. We love the meat balls in spaghetti, or meat balls in tomato and garlic sauce... We usually take 1kg of ground beef mince, add chopped onions, salt n pepper, chives or spring onions chopped, 1 egg, squirt of soya sauce/chicken oxo cube, and combine together with 1/2 cup of bread crumbs/or flour... Roll into balls and grill/fry/boil or bake... These are tasty and so nice, really easy to make too...

I'm not a big fan of Meatballs. I mean, I don't really ever eat them unless I buy a can of Chef Boyardee!
George Foremans are great though! I love mine. I just have a mini one since I only cook for myself. But cooking meatballs with grape jelly? Blech! That sounds odd and quite disgusting. I've never heard of that before.
