I don't believe in lending money to people because to me only banks should lend money to people. If I have the money, I just give it to them as a gift. I think
lending money is a bad habit because most people don't pay back ,and usually this creates a great deal of tension among family and friends. I think is best to say no if you don't wish to give money or just give it to them as a gift as long as you feel is the right thing to do. What about you guys?

If I "lend" money to anyone, it is usually a close friend or family member. They ask if they can "borrow" it, but in all actuality, I don't even think about getting it back. That's just me. I tell them not to worry about it, but if they insist on paying me back, then so be it. I do think that if you are going to "lend" money or "gift" money, you should always do it only if you can afford to and if you go in with the mentality that you will never see it again. Never give away money you need yourself.

lending money is okay as long as you know that that person will give it back to you. personally, i dont like to lend money because i hate asking them to give it back to me. you know what i mean?? i'm embarrassed to collect the money from them.that's why i dont like lending my money. and if i lend money,i dont lend them too much..if they will lend a thousand bucks then that's a no no..hehehe i can only lend then about 300 bucks..and that's all..credit is not really good. if they really need the money and if i really have it, then maybe i can give it to them as a donation. but not the big okay! haha..

Hi there, sometimes it's hard to understand what would be the best to do, to lend a money or give it free.
If we lend a money, then there's a possibility that they cannot pay you back, or it may take a long time before they can give it back to you.
If you give a money, they will surely be happy for it and yet, they will ask for more after a few weeks, a few months, all over and over again and all they want is to ask for money like the way you do to them.
So it's really hard to do what would be the best!
I think the best thing to do is that, Don't lend money and don't give money as a gift.
Just help them if they really need money and before you give money, try to make them understand that you have worked so hard to get that money that you are giving to them.
Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here in MyLot and Godspeed!

Yes, you need to make sure that the money is for a good cause and also that it doesn't become a habit because some people can be abusive and is very hard to earn the money ,but this is why is important to use common sense and give only what we can afford.

well, when it comes to money,it seems to be a serious question.I suppose that most of people have had similar experiences with lending money to others.it sometimes can be rewarding, but this is not the case for everyone.
As far as I'm concerned,I'll lend money only if I can afford to or to someone who really need money badly. And I believe that they will pay back since I will only lend money to people I know well or my family.
but the fact is that I'm not rich, lending money to people is something I don't have to worry about currently.

If I have the money, I just give it without reservations and I just pray that the person uses the money wisely. I don't expect the money back ,but
if they wish to pay it back they can always do something nice in return. Money doesn't have to be the only form of payment.

i can hardly believe people nowadays because they just say borrow when in fact they do not have the intention to ever return it back... i prefer to say NO to them or same like you... just give it as a gift and never think of seeing the money ever again... it is better that way as it makes me feel better if the person do not return the money back to me again... anyway, it is better to give than take and i only lend my money to family and close friends...

I don't like lending money to people because there are times that the people I lend money to doesn't paid me back. But I still lend money to someone I knew if they know how to payback on time and to someone I knew if it is the first time they are going to ask for it, I just set a limit on how much money I will lend. They are always saying that they needed the money for a good cause, I'm not sure if it's always true but I always keep in mind what if it is indeed true. If I refuse and they really needed it badly, I will feel guilty not being able to help when I have the opportunity. As for those who doesn't paid me back, that would be the last time that I will help them.

I usually don't like to put myself in a difficult situation by lending money ,so at least I try to help with a small gift because is better than nothing. My experience has been that most people just don't pay back and they borrow money people
they are ashamed to ask for free money.

As much as possible I don't like to lend money because everyone needs to learn to be responsible regarding their own finances. If ever I just lend a small amount, just to help a bit.
Some people like to borrow money as a first option in solving a problem. I think it should be the last resort.

it is up to the person who i lend money to.
if it is my real friend, then i dont' mind lending money to him/her. and if it is my relatives, then i will think again and again, but i dont' want to lend money to them. if my younger brother want to borrow money from me, then i lend it at once. and if i have enough money, then i dont' let him to give money back. i hope he can live a better life.

I don't like to borrow money from someone neither lending money to someone. If the amount is rather huge, I would expect them to return.

I suppose it would matter who you were lending money too and how well you know them. I wouldn't have a problem lending money to a memeber of my family because I know they would pay me back and there wouldn't be bad blodd between us. I don't know how comfortable I would be lending money to a friend because it always seems to lead to problems. I wouldn't want to lose a friendship because of money.

Your question itself has the answer. Gift is different from lending. Gift is not a help done to anyone, but lending money is helping someone during troubles. You said that create tension. Why it should create tension. If you are ready to give gifts, then just lend some money to the needy and treat it as a gift. Then it won't make you sad. Always remember that God gives us money to help the needy and poor. So just change your attitude and start helping the needy one.lol..

For your information people who give are more generous than people who lend because they don't
expect anything in return. Most people that borrow
have a difficult time paying back ,so is best to
give without expecting anything in return. If I have money I give them a gift and if I don't have any money to give there is nothing I can do. lol. I give
money to many charity organizations because to me is not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.
