I would have to say check the internet. I look around, make sure I don't have any mail, or messages. Yeah, not much for conversation. Just thought it was interesting, how that is the first thing I do almost every time I get home. What about you?

the first thing? i will wash my face and hands with soap, then take a bath and change a clean pajama. it is my habit. there are too many germs outside, and i have to touch lots of things when i am not at home. for example, i have to shake hands with customers, everyday, and i have to take some coffee to my customers. and i have touch documents and computers. if i take a bus, then i have to touch the seat. so i have to wash my face and hands with soap when i get home.

It depends on what time I get home. If I get home in the morning after taking my daughter to school, I usually make the bed, feed the dogs & then go straight onto the computer. If I come home later after taking my daughter to swimming training, I may need to cook teat straight away.

I feed my cat. I have to or else he just drives me crazy meowing for food! Then once I've done that I go online and check emails, etc. But I have to feed the cat first - if I didn't he would be lying across the keyboard lol! Oh although I do kick my shoes off as soon as I get in the door so I guess maybe that's the very first thing I do.

My routine is fairly similar to yours. I usually switch on the kettle and then have a wash and change my clothes, by which time the kettle has boiled. I then proceed the check my emails and spend a little time on the internet.

I guess most of the time the first thing I do when I get home is to feed Moomin, my lovely cat, and kick off my shoes.

The first thing I do when I usual get home is clean up. When I go to work very early in the morning, my husband and daughter get to have the house all to themselves and they make a lot of mess. They don't even bother to pick up after themselves because they know that mommy will take care of it when she gets home.

Well, if I don't need to go to the bathroom, then I sit at my computer & check my mail. First I go thru and delete junk & look at the "Freecycle" stuff, most of which also gets deleted. Then I go back up thru my various groups reading & responding to them if need be. I then go thru again, reading responses from mylots discussions I've started or responded to. I will read those & respond if I feel I need to. Finally, when all that is done I start going thru the discussions started by my mylot friends. By the time I've gone thru all the rest of my emails, I've narrowed it down to between 20 & 40 things I need to read & decided if I'm going to respond to - like this. I generally start off with between 80 & 100 emails - tho I'm sitting on about 20 old ones that rather inflate that number.

Look like a similar activity between you and me, I mean for the internet come or take first. But I don't straight away reply or respond to that e-mail, just look for how many and from whom it would be. Normally one hour after I've had taken my shower, rest, meal, etc., I seriously start my cyber works. Thanks, LordGregoroftheSith.
