What's the most unusual fruit you've ever put on your cereal?

Most days I cut up bananas and put them on my cereal. And, whenever strawberries are in season or really cheap, I like to treat myself to those as well. But, this morning, while having my usual cereal, Raisin Bran Crunch, I found myself wondering if watermelon would taste good on it. Not sure. Never tried it. Not sure if I want to try it either. Perhaps I will try the pineapple topping since I have that in the house. Not all toppings go well on cereal. Sometimes I use canned peaches, but I don't like those too much. Once I tried roasted peanuts in my bran cereal and that wasn't too bad. Maybe that's because it already had chopped nuts as one of the ingredients. So, what's the weirdest fruit you've ever put into your breakfast cereal? Did it taste bad or make you not want to eat cereal anymore? What's the best tasting topping you've used on your cereal recently?

That sounds yummy. Might try yogurt sometimes instead of milk.

I usually have sliced banana, or maybe dried cranberries. Watermelon sounds odd to me, but I think peaches would be great.

I've topped my cereal with strawberries, blueberries, raisins, banana, and pecans. I've never thought to add melon or pineapple or anything too unusual.

Hello there! The most unusual fruit i ever put and still do is kiwi fruit in my frosted flakes. Its delicious!!The sugar from the frosted flakes gives the kiwi more flavor.Yum.yum!The best tasting fruit i ever put was raspberrys in my rice crispies with a little bit of sugar to die down the perky taste of the raspberrys.:)

I don't usually add anything to my cereal. I usually just use milk. I have tried the yogurt thing like someone else suggested. It's pretty good. I put bananas on my son's cereal sometimes, though. That's the only fruit I've tried for him. I might try strawberries or blueberries sometime, though. He would probably like it. I guess I just like my own food boring. :)

The weirdest thing I ever put in my cereal was DRIED mango. I wanted something to add nutrients into an already healthy cereal, and that was in my cupboard, so I tried it. And it was actually very good. It gave the cereal real punches of flavor, because a lot of healthy cereals don't have much flavor anyway. The best tasting topping I've put in my fruit is kind sorta a topping, but kind of not. I didn't have regular milk, so I put in chocolate milk. It flavored the cereal nicely.

I like dried dates on my cereal. They've got a different taste and chewy like raisins. I like sprinkling cashews on my cereal too if I have them around. I love cashews!
