stalkers and chatting

I've been a member of a paid chat (very well known chat) for nearly a year and during that time I've had stalkers and such... About two months ago I got a IM from a person... He was nice at first than got really weired on me so I've blocked him hoping he'd go away.. Well that didn't happen.. He got another Nick and contacted me again, I again blocked him, So finally I changed my name blocked the names I knew and he found me there too.. Again he's doing the same thing getting new nick to watch me.. The only thing support tells me to do is to block him.. They won't ban him for stalking and harassing me.. But will ban someone for talking about other chat programs.. Does that make any sense to anyone at all? I love being on pal cause I have some great friends there but stalking and harassing people shouldn't be allowed... What do I do next get yet another nicK? These nick names are 60.00 for a year I can't keep buying them just to get away..

Welcome to the doubbel moralistic world of chat/discussion etc sites. They are all the same, no bloody difference. You might attract attention away from a particullar site, by talking of other better sites arround, therefore they wont let you discuss this. A stalker or pervert dont exactly do the business any directly harm and there are so many of them arround, so they dont bother. They would end up do nothing else. By the way just to make it clear, i do not agree with these policies, they are contributing to give chat, forums and discussion sites a bad reputation.

Hi Kim, I agree very much.. Sometimes chats and forums think it's ok for people to do these things and all they say is block them.. What I don't understand is that they are doing it to one person I am sure enough they are doing it to more.. Nothing can really be done but the site has to ban them from the uses of chats.. This problem hunni and the solution of it is the responsibility of the owner og the site, nobody elses. You are so right, when these people get blocked by somebody they just go to the next one or they change the screenie to come back haunt you again. Actually you would never know if i was that person being unplesant to you, but now came back to a new cyberlife as a different and better person, lmao

wow i cant believe they wont banned him,well the best thing to do is just ignore him the best you can and dont pay again,you shouldnt have to just because of him.thats such a shame that people like that cant get banned,harassment is against the law.i guess this site doesnt see it that way.best of luck.

It's funny cause I went to log on to the program and he unblocked me... For some reason I am thinking he thinks I will do the same, But after months of him harassing me it's not going to happen.. He thinks he's the king of this chat program but it seems that alot of people not me has been harassed by him they also have blocked him and left it at that.. I won't unblocked him cause personally he's never showed me how friends should be treated more like he treats them like they are nothing.. That don't work for me.. I want people I can talk too not drag me along.. Thanks Angel for your reply!

60 Dollars?? It would make me wonder if this isn't a scam by the site it's self. Stalking is against the law, there is no reason for this site to allow it other than it would force their members to buy another new name. Of course I am talking about a site I have never been to, so I could be wrong. However it just seems odd they will tolerate this when others do not. Even Mylot will ban a stalker if they continue. Maybe you could get a bit tough on the administrators about this and remind them, this member is breaking laws and you have spent quite a bit to get rid of them, it's time for them to step in and take care of their members.

He is from another state NC to be exact... I know people that have been banned from the site for talking about other chat programs... What I don't understand why can't they ban him for stalking other people on this program.. I was just talking to a friend on that program and he told me to get him banned from every room I go into so that I don't have to worry about him being there all the time.. and I can have fun and enjoy myself there.. Chatting is suppose to be fun people shouldn't have to worry about these things though they do happen.. Sad huh! Thanks for your reply!

You should talk to the site administrators so that they get his butt aka his IP banned permanently. That way you won't have that problem. Being a paying chat, it should be easier because there are certain account or credit card data that you have to provide, and it should be easy to ban him.

I sent them a e-mail and they told me to just block him and get him banned from the rooms I go too, so that is three rooms.. I have alot of friends on this chat program that is willing to stand behind me on this.. They too know it's wrong for anyone to be stalked.. Also they don't want me to leave either so they will do just about anything to help me...
