In Italy we have a lot of musical instruments coming up from ancient popular traditions
mandolino- a sort of emispherical guitar of Naples
scacciapensieri- a metal device to be set inside (!) the mouth and which sounds like a sort of deep low rithmic monochord used in Sicily
launeddas- a special two-pipes flute from classcial tradition of Sardinian shephards
ocarina- a sort of bubble/shaped wistle made up of clay with many holes on it to change the height of the sound coming from lucanian tradition
putipu- a drum with a stick fixed in its membrane, sounding like a sort of rithmic bass coming from Naples
and
triccheballacche- a couple of wooden hammers fixed for the handles, producing a rithmic clopping while hit together, coming from Naples.

WOW!!!that was great CLEMERE. Good idea of subject to have known about traditional music for every country on this world.
OK from Pak Cik Michael living country, MALAYSIA, is "KOMPANG".
The kompang is a shallow frame drum with a goat or cow hide skin nailed to the wooden frame by metal nails. It is usually found in large kompang ensembles throughout Malaysia, playing interlocking rhythmic patterns for processions, to accompany the choral singing of "zikir" and to perform music for various social occasions.
Various social occasions normally for, malay wedding ceremony, greeting dignitaries, et cetera.

We have variety of music here in the USA. So, it depends on a person and what kind of music he or she would like to listen to. I like to listen to country and anything else that make sense, have good beat to it.
