My son gave me a lighter to use for my candles. It is in the shape of a gun. We were goofing around and just as I lit it he bent his head down and his hair caught fire...My son and his girl were laughing and my hubby in pounding on his head to put the fire out...Boy, did that stink...That is what we get for fooling around....good thing the grandsons weren't here...I am sure we would have gotten yelled at....

I had to laugh when I read this, I am glad your hubby was ok. My husband has done a similar thing before. He was sitting down having a smoke and the end of his smoke came off and landed in his beard. I looked over at him and saw smoke coming out of his beard. I am a terrible person though because I didn't go and help him, I sat there laughing my head off as he was hitting his beard to get it out. He was alright thank goodness and he wasn't upset because I was laughing, as he knows what I am like.

Funny thing, about two weeks ago the lights went out and me and my two room mates were gathering candles. I lit one and drop one I bented over to get the other one that was just about out of arm reach between the table and the wall; I then heard this fizzle and poping noise, i took me a few second to realize my hair was of fire, throught the night darkness you could hear my curse words. My room mates rush to the room, but I locked the door.....they must never know, LOL

I was passing through and saw this headline catch my sight hahaha! Don't feel bad, it has happened to me. But it was quite the accident. My friend had turned the lighter flame up high to light something and when I asked him for a light, my hair fell in my face and caught on fire, he started smacking me around and threw me on the floor to get it out. It was quite comical until I realized the left side of my hair was singed and totally uneven ahhahaha! We had a good laugh over that one though.

Lol.
Stick 'em up or I'll set your hair on fire!
Oooo the smell of burnt hair is awful. I bet you had to light all your smelly candles to get rid of the smell.
Thanks for the laugh.

Hello Feona1962,
Wow, that's great! I am just kidding. At least you learned your lesson right? Do not fooling around with anything that can start a fire. Lucky that your husband didn't have to opt to be bald *laughs* By the way, he didn't complain at all?

See Feona, this is why digital cameras and Youtube were invented!! Oh and please be careful next time. That is a lighter, not a toy. You are an adult with children, you should be aware of these things. Ah who am I to preach on this. ;p

I'm sure it's kind of funny to you both now that it's done and over with. What a freaky moment! I'm glad he was able to put the fire out without getting hurt. Yes, it was good that no young kids were around.
