11 people who enjoy yaoi, a few pictures, but no discussions?

Okay, so I'm trying to figure out where to put certain interests. For example, types of tv series could go under tv series or under hobbies. I noticed that anime was in both categories, so I thought I'd try putting yuri and yaoi in both categories to see if I found anyone. No luck with yuri, but I found 11 people under Yaoi! Yay! =)
So anyway, since there are no discussions here, I'm starting one. What yaoi series do you like? Do you like reading doujinshi (amateur manga) or fanfiction that presents yaoi relationships that don't exist in the actual anime sometimes? Do you get embarressed when people ask you what yaoi means? =p

I don't get embarassed when people ask me what yaoi means, people are aware I like all too well to explain things lol.
I don't get to read that many mangas, and I get frustrated with alot of horribly written fan-fiction, so I mostly read anime-style webcomics in the yaoi category (even though the japanese style usually eventually fades away...sadly), and the occasional anime.
I like Loveless and No Money! Best.
And Kyou Kara Maoh -- but it's a bit of a stretch to call that yaoi, or shounen ai, since nothing actually happens between the two main characters (both male) who got engaged accidently.
Even though Wolfram (the guy the main character's engaged to), professes to love Yuuri (the main character) to another character who adores Yuuri -- just not in the romantic sense..and Wolfram is very posessive of him...accusing him of cheating on him all the time.
Still, nothing real romantic between them. We were lucky to get a hug in that series, lol.

I've heard so many good things about Loveless, I have really got to go find it now! =p
Wow, you have a lot of suggestions here. I can totally what you're getting about those series that people call yaoi that don't really have anything in them. I've been on so many websites and yaoi or yuri that are inferring so much, or claiming series that don't show anything... and I'm going "But I want action!!" *giggles*

I know! Though platonic shows are nice occasionally, I like to at least see some kissing or snuggling.
I mean SOMETHING romantic, or between the two of them...nothing doesn't go very far.
Loveless is a pretty good anime, though it's a bit weird plot-wise too..and they don't explain alot, it's visually enchanting, interesting. And there's some kisses, they're hugging, cuddles, it's awesome.
The main characters' ages vary widely though, so its not for anyone who's too iffy. Ritsuke's 12, though Soubi is college age..but it's totally sweet because Soubi promised to wait for Ritsuke to grow up some more.
Plus...cat-people and amnesiacs always get me lol.
Okane ga Nai or No Money! Has everything lol. But it's got alot darker plot, since the two main characters are Ayase (the one who's often the victim in this story) who was sold by his own family to the slave trade, and bought by a loan shark named Kanou...who actually cares quite a bit for Ayase.
So there's lots of drama, some abuse between the characters...since neither of them can change what they are.
Ayase is one of the most innocent and gentlest people one could think of, and Kanou is a criminal and can be quite fierce...but there's a side of him who wants to be something more.
I love the series, but haven't gotten to watch the whole thing unfortunately :(
It's sometimes frustrating to find a good anime of either yaoi or yuri genre, but I think if it were terribly easy to find them, it would take a little of the fun out of looking and searching everywhere for something good.
Another yaoi I'm aware of which really does have real action in it, is called "Papa to kiss in the dark"...again, it's very weird as it revolves around a romance between a father (even though they're NOT related by blood) and son...with occasional bits with the boy's male best friend.

I noticed how much yaoi is centered around iffy or abusive things...me being the sick mind I am though, I don't mind some of it. I mean I like the stories as long as its done tastfully. If it's done just to be done, then it's awful crap.
Aw, the best shows always get canceled it seems, I'll have to check it out despite its not getting finished though. A little frustration over a good story is good for me, since it motivates me to finish what stories I myself write.
Ah well, I wish you luck finding more shonen ai animes. Hopefully I can find somemore too.

Maybe the pictures and discussions got pulled. Interesting since now I see one up at least for the category.
As for the rest of topic yaoi is decent but I really don't see it much.
