Name something wonderful that your pet did? I don't have pets. Which movie of Hitchcock is your favorite? Who is Hitchcock. Why do you wear coolers? I don't have cooling glasses. Will anyone please tell me how to react to these kind of responses.

Hope these responses annoyed you so much and forced you to write it as a discussion itself. If people answer to my discussions in this manner i just ignore them and dont rate them too. I always choose discussions to response if i have something to share from my point of view.It irritated when people just respond without any meaning. when i first read your post i laughted for a while and then typed my reply as i always thought of writing a discussion based on this as i get many such responses to my discussions.

Sure, it gives you a negative vibe, but at least you got a response. You just have to not care. I mean, it's an irrelevant response in any discussion, but you can't let it affect your mood or anything, 'cause it's just a silly response, and any response is better than no response, right? Well, maybe not in normal life, but on mylot I guess it is ;)

Sorry.I beg to differ.I don't think that any response is a better response.I would rather stay unanswered than getting these irrelevant ones.Shear waste of time.

Thanks for your effort to post a second response to make clear the point I value it and appreciate it.

What I meant by "any response" being better than "no response" on mylot was that, as far as I can understand you'll earn more from your discussion if you get a lot of replies. So all you have to do if you get a worthless reply is ignore it and "cash in". That being said, I don't know a lot about mylot earnings and have no clue how much a difference it makes whether you get replies or not. I'm just saying, OK, it's a worthless reply, but that's all it is. Ignore it and enjoy the responses with substance ;)

I didn't know I could report such people (like sexylc put). I knew it was against the rules. Most of these people are posting to earn. I think they don't realize that they really don't earn much (if any) for such responses. Maybe we should enlighten them on that first! Sometimes I get responses that start off that way but the person does have something to say about the topic. I think that's fine. eg. I don't have pets but my friend's dog did this the other day and I thought it was wonderful!

Thanks for the response.Yes you are right .Most of the people do this out of ignorance. This will never fetch you any points or dollars.Only quality discussions and interactions with good friends will get you what you need.At least you will have the pleasure of participating.

I will feel discourage and noted it as discouraging of statement. Because in open discussion we are on subjective elaboration of thoughts. That is why myLot put a reminder statement of "Please be as descriptive as possible." How to react? Just reply "I'm fine and thank you.".

I think both in public and on mylot those responses would stink. Granted, I've answered a couple of discussions starting with "I don't have that" or "I don't do that" but I still respond about possibilities or what I would do if the situation was true.

Absolutely. If you cannot relate to a discussion atleast you can try to guess and visualize the situation and try to response.

i think these kinds of responses are really just a nuisance. They annoy others, and dont contribute to anything. you should probably either ingnore these responses or report them.
