Lol What ironing board? Since I moved out of my mothers house I never had one. For some reason I find the floor and a sheet to press the clothes much better. I guess you cant call me lazy on this one! hehe I dont really iron that much. But when I need to its the sheet!
I will put the sheet up once Im done though, and I have a special one that I use just for ironing. My friend has one of those little ones that fit on a table, and I dont see how she uses it, but she does!

I burned a matress on a brand new bed trying that method! I saw a friend ironing on her carpet once. I figured I could use the bed matress. I guess it was made out of something that melted easy. I was so mad! The bed was brand new.

Every time after ironing I am used to fold my ironing board and keep it back in the original place. I don’t iron my clothes too often so it is better to keep it away and cover with a piece of cloth. By doing this the top of the ironing board could be avoided to be dusty.

It was out for ages a few weeks ago when i was making curtains. It normally lives in the wardrobe in the spare room but it hasn't made it back into the wardrobe yet...it's folded but just inside the door. I need to make the living room curtains soon and the ironing board is a reminder to get me motivated...it's failing. LOL.

I leave my ironing board out most of the time because it saves time. I guess I am lazy I sometimes I put it down when I am cleaning up but most of the time the ironing board is up.

I don't really have any place to put mine and it's a hassle to get it out all the time if I did, so I leave mine out. There's plenty of room in our bedroom for it, so it's not really in the way.

Our ironing board hangs from the bathroom door. If we don't put it away, we can't get around it very well because it's too close to the couch when it's pulled out. I always tell my husband that if he doesn't put it away when he's done, I'm not cooking dinner, since I can't get to the pantry. :) It works. He usually has it put away within 20 minutes of finishing ironing and I very rarely even have to remind him.

Since I only iron when I need to, I usually leave it out for the week because I know I have to iron a shirt and pants for my husband each morning. YOu would think I would iron them all at once and then thats it, but no, I only iron one shirt and one pants daily LOL If I really feel like ironing then I will iron them all at once. Most of the time I don't.

I usually put it away. Plus I have several suitable flat surfaces I can use for ironing. Plus I have a spray and pull compound I use if I need to. I'm covered.

Hello Miamilady,
we do the same thing as you do.:) But most of the time,it's not me who iron the clothes in my family. My Mom or my Sister In-law would do it.

We don't iron, but I guess if we did, it wouldn't be put away right away.

Oh yes I do put my ironing board away when Im done. Now that we have moved into a smaller house I cant leave it up anymore. But thats okay I think it looks messy with it up.

I don't even iron,I just take it straight out of the dryer and hang it up.I know that's proably not a good thing but it works for me.
