I agree with you, I love medium salsa, and have great respect for the people who can eat hot salsa. I can't eat hot salsa with out my mouth burning and eyes watering.

I usually go for medium. It's got just the right amount of heat. I want to taste it, not burn my tongue. I like the heat, but I don't want to cook my taste buds off. And when it's too hot, you can't taste anything in the salsa... I want to taste the peppers, onions, tomatoes and cilantro, you know? I don't mind mild or hot, I just think that medium is the perfect combination of flavor and heat.

I prefer medium, too. Mild isn't spicy enough, and hot is too spicy. I eat hot if I have a cold, and it makes my nose run and clears up my sinuses. lol That's the only reason I ever eat hot! Luckily, my husband and even my 19 month old like medium best. Well, I don't know for sure if my 19 month old does, I don't think he has ever had mild, but he really likes medium!

I prefer my salsa to be medium. My husband loves his hot. He even adds extra hot sauce to it. He likes things so hot they make him sweat.I use salsa on my eggs and my hamburgers.

I dont eat hot food at all I dont like the taste and I cand hadle it. To me black pepper is hot and friesh onion burns my mouth so if I eat hot or spicy food I think I will die. Its funny because everyone in my family eats hot food but me even my 4 year old can eat hot food. When my parents used to cook something they would cook the meal to a point when hot things were added and remove some for me and continue cooking it in 2 pots.

I can eat hot salsa and mexican style red-chili sauce. Its quite a shock at first but was easy for me to get use to. I also add this and a few other "got ya" ingredients anytime I feel game to cook a firebrand chili.

Personally, I enjoy a hot salsa, depending on the food that goes with it. I make my own hot salsa using habenero peppers, tomatoes, and spices. It is rather hot, but has good flavors and I use a moderate amount on my food. It takes time to acquire a taste for hot salsa. I have seen people react in different ways to my salsa, and beg me to bring them their own jar for their own personal use. I enjoy canning salsa because it is a good way to use up my tomatoes, and because in the winter I have an ample supply on hand that has a good flavor to go with my winter food. A little salsa in chicken soup really helps me with a scratchy throat, or the beginnings of a cold, or just warms me up from being outside in the winter when it is quite cold.
